It certainly wasn't a suspension and there are many aspects that we can look at to explain this. If it were a suspension his hiatus from the club would have started off more cleanly rather then showing/no-showing training on a weekly basis. The club would've listed him with a bogus finger injury or something and the AFL would have killed the press on the matter to save face.If he has simply been suspended (suggested above, and possible), there should be no issues with him coming back and resuming his career. All the rest of the noise has then been just that, noise. A lot of muddying of the waters.
Just a thought.
After his time up North he is itching at the bit to return to the club, train and play. Im told he is actually watching footy for the first time in years. He has met with the club (captain/Coach and a couple other figures) and they have ticked off his return to the club. The complications now arise around AFL approval to return to training because the Bulldogs passed the matter onto the AFL Dr's they are the ones that need to give him the all clear not the club Dr's (similar to what we see with repeat concussions).
Once he does return to the fold he will need to complete a 6 week mini pre season, which will be the same program he was given early in the season which he couldn't complete at the time. Once he is through that training block he will be cleared for selection.
