This is actually about the third step I'd say. (Admit you need help, return home and continue progress, return to employment). His progress can not be understated ans must be commended. However I do agree training consistently and remaining on the straight and narrow now back in his original environment is the biggest potentially most challenging hurdle.
Correct. He can't play footy with us until he can do those things consistently, which is one of the key goals besides obviously getting healthy.

Great to see

If this goes the way it’s looking then Bev, Baines and the club get a massive tick from me. Obviously Marra does too. Fingers crossed. The idea of losing an elite talent for unders after we already did with Smith and Dunkley is pretty gross.
Twitter is a cesspool. It's going off that we are colluding with JUH to sell him off to another club before he turns to shit again

From what we've been able to know, the club and personnel have navigated this difficult period impeccably.

Im not sure the club could've played the hand they were dealt any better. They gave him and his management all of the rope necessary for him to sort out his issues. When that clearly wasn't working it was the Club through Beveridges going public with his concerns that was the catalyst that brought what was becoming a very messy situation to a head. It was only then that JUH seemed to take the threat that his behaviour posed to his career seriously and for him to seek the help that he needed.

Now we wait and see how things pan out.

Yes, it is baby steps at the moment and anything could happen. Unless the relationships in the senior team are that fractured, and his return is to negotiate a trade next season I cannot see why if he everything went well and he is killing in the twos why the club would not secretly want him back in the team.

This maybe harsh on Buku because we are not playing Astro, Sam, Buku and JUH in the same forward line. However, if JUH gives us the best chance of winning the flag I and all in.

Still as I said there is a lot that needs to go right from here but happy he is back training.

Regardless of how JUH is performing I doubt we will bring him back to the seniors this year if Buku keeps playing well. Especially if we get on a roll we won't want to risk disrupting things. JUH will be a next year prospect depending on how preseason goes. He still has a long way to go earning back trust after what happened before our final last year. We won't want to make the same mistake again and risk him derailing another finals series.

I am not so sure you maybe right. It just depends on if he 100% committed to getting back I can see the players accepting him and helping him along his journey. If he is not 100% committed then forget it.

He has no physical injuries and appears to be in good condition but not footy fit.

The thing is supporters have just been guessing what will happen since this has come to light and we are still guessing. The club will have a good idea what is possible and we just have to see how it plays out.

The first dogs promo vids of Marra on the track is going to hit me harder than Bailey Smiths Thoughts and Prays baggies
Marra will get fined for flipping the bird in his first game back.
Nothing is surer.

Darc, Marra, Naughts up forward.

Send Buku back. He’d surely have enough confidence on the back of his outstanding forward half form to go back and play a really strong intercept defender role. It always looked a confidence issue for him when playing back there.
