Geoff has 5 lettersYes I did point that one out.
My parents were European migrants, so I've always been a stickler for names, especially as a child I'd have adults struggle with my own straightforward, phonetically pronounced 6 letter first name! My whole life I've always ensured I get people's names correct, especially many colleagues and friends from Asia, sub-continent, etc.
It still bemuses me people can't get the names of our players correct, as many of those same names are constantly in the media, on BF in team lists and discussions, etc.
Let alone the names of any Bullgod who brought home a flag...![]()

You'd be lucky if Geoff only doled out 50 when he spotted the objective personal pronoun instead of the subjective and the double incidence of the adjectival form instead of the adverbial. How's that for pomposity !That was me who spelt the name wrong. I had a teacher who had a surname spelt Hambling so I typed it wrong. Lucky you were not my teacher reckon I get 50 lashes for such a criminal offence.
Surely they bought home a flagYes I did point that one out.

Dead right. Wrong thread but Bont v EJ greatest club footballer. No doubt in my mind, Bont, fourth best behind 'Bottles' Greenwood, Bill Harrington and Eddie O'Halloran, mind you, young O'Donnell is looking promising. How’s this bloke going ? What’s the vibe ? Will he play another game at the dogs or is he done .
Is he back to full training or just a day here and there when he feels like it kind of thing?
I’m out of the loop and mean no offence with any of my questions just genuinely curious where he’s at
Don’t want to get shot down and I’d be very happy to be proven wrong, but having spoken to someone at the club earlier this week the vibe I got is that it’s very likely he won’t be with us next year. As I say I’d be very happy to be wrong. How’s this bloke going ? What’s the vibe ? Will he play another game at the dogs or is he done .

If this bloke gets his shit together and stays at the club he’ll have the best job in footy for the next decade. Third fiddle behind Darce and Naughton. Imagine him getting the third best defender.
If that was the case we'd have little to lose by playing hard ball and letting him sit in the 2s next yearHe’s not coming back to us, he won’t even do a little block of training to be available for VFL selection. Connors has probably had his next club lined up for months.
