It's hard to believe that this saga has not impacted our season this year on top of the debacle at the end of last year.

We are up to page 142 for a thread that started just over 5 months ago, and though we handed this across to the AFL, resources and time would have been spent over the last 12 months.

I hope after the Gold Coast put us out of our misery tonight, contracts are settled for whatever and we can move forward without the distraction. I do hope it works out for JUH, I just can't see that being in the AFL environment at all

Not even it just as a distraction but the loss of on-field production of a very good player. But not even mentioned at all in the media debriefs of our season.

True.

I still think he takes boxing up at some capacity. it could very well be professionally. Whether he's any good is another question.
He could have a very successful career. If you carefully choose his “patsy” opponents so that he is virtually certain to have a good run of wins the hype would be intense and a guaranteed high numbers of watchers. Simple really. I don’t know why no one has thought of this before for other sporting identities from other sporting codes post their footballing days.

Tayla Harris did the same, though the talent pool depth of female boxers in Australia is so shallow that it's impossible to know whether they even had to go to the effort of lining it up because it was that way by default.

It ain’t that easy.

You don’t get the big fights by just beating patsy opponents.

He has not got the discipline to be the boxer that can command the $ and he has much catching up to do to boxers who have been doing it for years.

Wonder if he’ll even bother to show up for his exit interview?
Likely coming with an entourage of AFL support and personal management according to Barrett.

What is Jamarra doing in the off-season, now that he no longer has to focus on his intense training schedule?
He's still doing his boxing training at Derrimut.

My partner lives beside one of those places , it's like Picadilly circus all hours of the day. Clearly the place to see & be seen. I'm a gym goer myself, but I don't think I could cope with a Derrimut.

Port Melbourne Derrimut, he'll fit in well at that joint.

Yes.

As a Williamstown fan and someone who played against Port Colts as a junior, I endorse Marra's next career move.

The club has done well to keep a lot of this under wraps. Assume at this point some kind of decision has been reached that we don’t know about? Surely he or his delegation at least turned up for an exit interview.

Wouldn’t surprise if all conversations have been had already and everybody knows where they stand.
Tom Morris reported that JUH exit meeting will happen after the clubs VFL finals series is done
