What makes you think another club can successfully manage him??

There is a reason no other clubs are interested and the most likely outcome is he won't be on a list next year.
Except potentially one of the 4 teams left in it this year.

My read of the situation. The contract offers from other clubs are significantly under his 2026 bulldogs contract, and are heavily conditional. His manager has presented them, but given JUH the advice to stick with the dogs 2026, earn the 900k. Build back some credibility and get better offers if not from the dogs then from other clubs. Seek a trade to club of choice in 2027 uncontracted.

So he is isn’t participating at the moment because he is under “AFL protocols” ie he’s been conditionally de-registered for unconfirmed reasons.

To even be able to even re-join dogs or seek a trade you could assume he needs to overcome numerous hurdles to be allowed to do this.

I wouldn’t think he is near either option at the moment.

My money on him not playing or being on a list including dogs in 2026

Geelong's pretty good at letting players do whatever they want and keeping the media off their backs

They're also good at managing er um 'injuries'.

Bottom line, if it's Geelong, I hope our club tells them to f*** themselves sideways. Not giving those p***** an inch.

no chance he stays - if he wanted to play with the dogs next year, he would of trained with the club when back from rehab.

Club told him to keep his distance in the last couple of weeks with the build up to finals, didn't want the distraction like last year. This was mutually agreed upon by both club and player.

I don’t get the impression he wants to leave the Dogs.
Why would he want to leave, probably has a very good idea that no club will touch him and if he stays with us he'll get another $800k of drinking money for next season for doing nothing

Most of those players at least have a winning mentality and a drive to be afl players. The narrative that Geelong would just let him coast along is ridiculous.

Not coast along on field, but their off field protection racket would then have us all believing he's tucked up in bed with a book and a mug of warm Milo at 8.30pm.

There’d be a few clubs hoping we want to push him out this year. Whenever we’ve put a player in the too hard basket there’s always been a club waiting.
It's generally worked for us and not for them though

Dunkley is literally the only player who has left caused no issues and gotten better as a player,

Stringer/Dahl/Hunter even Baz whilst making the AA team is showing the cracks that make him fall off a cliff professionally
Dunkley was a total professional right up until the day he departed. He still attended the B&F too.

I see him as being a bit different to other guys who dropped the ball with their standards. Dahl wasn't too bad after 2017 as well. Still keeps himself in good nick and dominates local footy.

Dahl more just at Geelong never lived up to what he was with us

Great bloke though his more just football wise

I think the Jamarra situation ends the debate about changing player numbers. Seems like whenever we’ve done it, that player gets cursed. They either leave the club, fall off, or get a horrible injury (Flea). Can anyone think of a player upgrading their number in recent times that hasn’t turned sour?

I was always against Dunkley changing from his flag-winning number. 20 is proving good luck for Ed though.

Brad Johnson went alright after he moved to 6.

Definately Jarrad, if you ever saw him play, he marks the ball exactly the same way Jordan does now.. Almost snatches the ball out of the air.. The Great Spindleshanks

I reckon Spindle would have thrived under Bevo. Don't think Eade utilised him well. Had the talent. Was probably spewing Eade took the Suns job
