It’s good but I don’t believe it was in that much demand. Wish I knew cause I would have flogged mine off for $300To be fair I've got one of these, they're a pretty nice jacket

Is it time to over analyse things again since they put the 1987 jumper and ochre one in the lockers?
I think they sold out pretty quick didn't they? It’s good but I don’t believe it was in that much demand. Wish I knew cause I would have flogged mine off for $300

I hate the flat graphic design meta of the last decade.we all yern to leave this minimalist plane of existence and return to a time where the world had colour
I'm not sure I understood any of what you said, but footy jumpers work best with basic, block designs. When funky graphics and edgy gradients started being introduced from the late 90s, things turned south in the AFL, design-wise.I hate the flat graphic design meta of the last decade.
Apple iOS 26 update with its liquid glass motif is a welcome step away from flat design. Microsofts recent redesign of its 365 suite icons also hints that the trend may be shifting.
I'm all for it.
I have one as well and it’s great. I wanted fresh ochre though! To be fair I've got one of these, they're a pretty nice jacket
Agreed. Worth a read, Gen Z's....Also we got to stop before the pleb fans start asking for navy offield gear and tye flub starts brining navy back
I don’t think this is necessarily a gen z issue tbf. When club reverted back to royal there were people on social media that were disappointed, there were fans wanting it back after the retro kit last year tooAgreed. Worth a read, Gen Z's....

A few (read most) of us have had enough of that tripanel thing and the tablecloth with an Eagle on it. Both do not identify with the basis of the club and were more than likely the lovechild of some marketing guru back in 1999. In short, we want to do something to try and make this known to the...www.bigfooty.com

Just a noisy minority. All the polls from 10 years ago favoured our original aesthetics.I don’t think this is necessarily a gen z issue tbf. When club reverted back to royal there were people on social media that were disappointed, there were fans wanting it back after the retro kit last year too
North Melbourne's orange kit, St Kilda's yellow kit comes to mind...this hideous thing from the Brisbane Lions...They could have a sh%tiest jumper round. We could wear the ochre and play Hawthorn in their Power Rangers jumpers.
I had a hoodie with the ochre design custom made a few years ago through someone on here. I should dig it out and wear it to games lmao.Oooh yeah. Think about an Ochre windbreaker.
I was thinking, given its our 40th year, maybe we take a tour down memory lane in 2026.Royal always as the go to, but I did buy the Harley Reid Gather Round navy because it’s a fun little one off jumper. Same as what the ochre would be, an absolute license to print money as a quirky one/two off, then buried again for a decade.
Given we now have 40 years and a fair few designs to draw on, it’s fine pulling out the old colours as a retro. It’s a travesty we never had just one game with Nic Nat/Shuey/JK in the ochre.
Yeah man, you definitely should. That sounds sick.I had a hoodie with the ochre design custom made a few years ago through someone on here. I should dig it out and wear it to games lmao.
The oldest of gen z are almost thirty.Agreed. Worth a read, Gen Z's....

This isn't happening though. People want to see a kitschy kit come back as a one off, no one actually wants to see it full timeRevisionist history of the ochre like it was a much loved kit that was unfairly binned is wild to me.
Universally hated at the time and was constantly in the conversation for worst AFL guernsey of all time.
Would be funny to bring it back as a one off if that is acknowledged but I won’t stand for the inevitable “can’t believe they got rid of this” that will come from the casual fan.
Mere babies. The oldest of gen z are almost thirty.
