**** Richmond. The less feral scumbags that fit into our ground the better.

Unfair if this is changed at late notice

We can argue merits of your home game against carlton being at the g instead of us, but you shouldnt be forced to only play six at cat park, esp again your will

Hope this goes nowhere

I tend to agree.

They can stick that up their arse.. I couldn't give a shit how many Tiger fans can't get in.
My hard earned goes towards a seat at 7 games in Geelong and I will dirty up if somehow that gets pinched from us
Exactly... why should it be any different to a Richmond away game in Perth? They don't move it to the G because more people can get in (i know that's a very extreme comparison, but It's not as though they should have a right to get more of their supporters into the ground when it's our home game). Realistically, i don't think that there would be much more than 33,000 Geelong supporters get in at the G anyway, so why should we have to move our home game for more of them to get in?

The club will make its decision (if asked for one) on commercial grounds - which may include concessions about next year's fixture.

We've a good team for a long time and won most of our games anywhere.
Back before we were a good team we used to lose there quite often.
We play mainly interstate teams at KP. During the early mid 2000's when a lot of of Interstate teams where up the top and we were poor we copped some spankings.
I think the advantage is hyped up a bit.

I somewhat agree with you but personally think if the other big 3 don't have to play there neither should we. Realistically all 4 should
If a game was rescheduled from KP to MCG the league would be shown up as an amateur competition.

A home team should not be penalised for a game being scheduled at their home.

I'm not here for the Richmond game - still don't want to see it moved to the MCG, but maybe IF it does have to happen we then demand finals at KP this year as compensation.

That would piss off a few teams

Another theory on the KP advantage which might be hard to explain. The camber of the seating at KP is quite steep compared to other grounds. At the MCG the back seats in the top row are 50 metres from the boundary (using just horizontal measurement only). At KP the back row of the Hickey Stand is only 20 meters (horizontally) from the boundary. It's even to the point where if a player is running along the outer boundary, the top deck of the Hickey Stand can't see him. All the spectators are closer to the action compared to other grounds. It also makes the ground appear narrower that what it already is.

If they move it I hope every Geelong supporter boycotts the game.
What chance of winning with zero support then?
Tigers fans are noisy and feral enough as it is.

In 2007 we lost 2 home games at Geelong and won games away in SA, WA, Sydney,
If the team has depth all over the ground, it matters not.
Currently, we have no really elite outside running players. Danger is a dynamo who doesn't need to go wide.
Our ground is also long. That suits going straight up the guts.
There was a time that our ground didn't suit our pacy wingers who relished the wide open space of Waverley and the G.
We are playing to our strengths.
When we had been on the road for the first 8 weeks, it was inevitable the boys would appreciate playing at home again. No brainer.

The club won't move it. Defeats the whole purpose of why we are expanding the ground and where we want to go with it eg finals.

If we agree that the MCG is a neutral ground.. while KP is most definitely a home game.. we lose an advantage.. thats why they call it a "home" game.

You may pull big crowds to the G .. thats good for the afl and for your club. How does that help us? I look forward to seeing the financial arrangement that matches what we would earn in Geelong. It will probably take 75,000 plus to make a reasonable profit but KP will make close to 1M dollars for a full house. It would basically mean Richmond buying our home game like Port did the Suns. Pay up is what I say.

I can only speak for myself... Will I go. ? Probably not ..what time would it be? .... so there will be a loss of support for the club.

When was the last time the AFL moved a match?

If the AFL moves the game then its a Joke and we will never get 9 games at KP ever.
Who cares if Richmond fans can't get in (didn't Brendon Gale whinge about this in previous years and when the game came it wasn't even a lock out)

No matter what Cook, Carter and the Club cannot allow the game to move considering that Geelong have 7 KP games only this year.

As a member and reserved seat holder who has paid full amount on membership i would be asking the AFL to compensate All members in my position if the game was moved

I do understand and agree with your point, I have just felt that often we play better again than our expectations for games at home.

It likely is as simple as just suiting our ground, I was wondering if it was mental as well

Has to be an element of mental in it. Especially this year after 8 rounds to get to play at home-they must have relished the ease it involved even just logistically. But also must take some comfort in playing in front of home crowd. Not to say good teams won't beat us there.
I thought the games at home coincided with a return to playing proper football, so who knows. Is that the ground or mental? If we brought that football to the Essendon game, surely we beat them anywhere.
