Just wrote a blog post about possibly the most revered aerial duel in history. Would be keen to have a chat about it on here if there are any takers?
For mine, Knights is incredibly underrated. Two runner up finishes in the Brownlow. Just one win would see him held in higher esteem. I reckon his coaching tenure in QLD hurt his overall perception, but that's more a theory than something substantial.
Vander Haar... imagine if he had been a bit of a workhorse? So much ability, but too knock about for his own good. His Open Mike interview is on YouTube. Couldn't get Knights' one. Even a certain site has no one helping with the file
Anyway, blog post is here. Would love to hear from someone who was actually there on the day, but all opinions and thoughts about these two are more than welcome.
