Never doubt your passion and effort salim but your disposal still need to improve hhehehee a bit like that player grey isnt it .

Not much wrong with Collins disposal .Cool and calm. Grey's problem is bull at a gate. His kicking at training is generally fine just in the heat of battle he gets that warriors mist over the eyes. Experience in the big time will settle that,we hope.:)

Me too a big fan of grey after uber, collins I left it to other posties nothing wrong with him a young Dawson type.:thumbsu: his disposal sometime hit and miss.

My favorite uber did not escape my disappointment 2 week ago with his first half performance just because he is my favorite.

:thumbsu: yes my dream team wayToGo_but I doubt it will happen, also croz in as emergency as mundy reaching 31 , nyhuis Langdon as ibbo, sheriden and sutty backups . some high draft pick for 2016 and 2017 also not yet consider .

Good job for C.Pearce , deboer, mayne ,suban ,crowley and d.Pearce also as Ross extract every part their juice from old game plan last 5 year.:)

Got a feeling Hooker and McCarthy will join Freo. Tippet fit under the swans cap back in 2012 because Dan Bradshaws retirement freed up some cash. At Freo, theres cash room from 3 areas. 1 area is the salary cap grows by around $5-600,000. Pav is retiring sadly. The 3rd area or the spare cash.... As of 2016 freo are paying out the last year of demons legend in Colin Sylvia and he was on $400,000 a year here. Plus some cloggers in Suban, Mzungu and Pearce leaving frees up more cash. So were bound to lure 1 KPP here

I'd imagine McCarthy is an absolute lock.

Would love Hogan, but getting Jenkins or Hooker would be solid.

So with GWS getting a future first rounder off the pies in exchange for Treloar.I was reading that the points for GWS academy kids points increases as it looks like the pies will finish lowly.Does this mean our third, fourth & fifth round picks maybe appealing to GWS now?

No, it is the opposite.

The 'points value' of the kids is not directly relevant to anyone's ladder position, simply what picks teams are willing to bid for them at the draft.

The fact that Collingwood's pick will be earlier (higher points value) means that GWS is less likely to require additional late round picks for points.

Unless they want to preserve their early pick and use the later picks to match the value of the bids.

Pearce is a CHB.

IMO what he'd ideally be is the third tall/loose man, what MJ used to be and what Ibbo is now doing. Hooker (or Smith/Collins) and Dawson manning the main key forwards with Pearce taking infinite intercept marks and launching attacks from HB. Seeing this kid running around with some freedom would be quite a sight. Would also allow him to pinch hit forward more easily when/if needed.

If you compare the way he's played in defence to what he's shown up forward I honestly can't see anyone coming to the conclusion of, "yep, should be played forward". I don't want our own negligence and incompetence in not securing a proper key forward to prevent him from reaching his full potential, which is clearly as a defender.

I'm pretty sure we've already paid out Sylvia, in last year's cap, and also that he only got half of his final year's salary.

Still that's an extra $200,000 saved that we can use. Also considering Pav and Sandi will leave. Again Danyle Pearce is out of contract along with a few cloggers. Out of Hogan, Hooker and McCarthy, I still believe Hooker and McCarthy will join Freo next season. If we can't do a deal to get at least ONE of those 3 blokes here, then there's something wrong and our club's truly stuffed.

Any chance Sicily or Tim O'Brien from Hawthorn could be lured away from Hawthorn. Both show good signs but when Roughhead comes back at least one and probably both will be squeezed out of the side again. Sadly even if they were available moving out of Victoria probably not going to happen unless Hale can convince them somehow.

I agree, even if Apeness stays injury free it's going to take some time for him to reach his potential. But the one thing I think we can safely say is he does have plenty of potential. He was recruited with our first draft pick as a KPP/ruckman, who is a smart footballer, knows how to win a contested mark and shows some aggression. May be harsh on Tabs but Apeness is almost his polar opposite other than that they both have good endurance. Even if it takes him a while to come good, he's exactly what we need - a decent backup ruckman that should develop in to a decent key forward. Would have to be more valuable than having Tabs pinch hitting in the ruck like we do now? Just because he hasn't been playing, being a bit older and more mature now should also reduce the development and learning curve a bit - hence why I think mature age recruits can sometimes step up to AFL level so quickly (especially in the modern game where brains seem more important than they did before :)).

You are talking like it's an either/or situatuon. Reality is that we need them both to come good, not just one of them. Which is why we should have been playing Taberner for all of 2015 and 2016.

Salary cap has never been the issue.

Does this thread include ruckman/forwards? This will also need to be addressed sooner rather than later. Dont think Jeremy Goddard
will fall to us, but maybe a chance with Luke Strnadica?
There seems to be many opinions on Hannath, that he is a spud but is he really that bad?
I didnt see the delisting of Moller coming, just thought he needed more time, but now our ruck stocks look dire for the future.

There is always one club that has two good rucks, and you can trade for them. Forwards who can ruck are harder to find, but perhaps we will just let A Pearce and Taberner do 20% of the ruck.

Apeness was designated for this role. Hopefully he can get over his injuries and make the step up to AFL level.

I don't think there is any extra $200K this year as it was paid out in last year's cap. I do think Pav was kept on for one more year to ensure we didn't breach the cap minimum payments requirement, though.

Regarding hannath, you know they say about opinions ;)
