I agree. In the last 3-4 years, the salary cap has grown by $5-600,000 a year.

The only question is whether or not Silvagni plays. Since it's the Bulldogs he probably won't, but round 2 he might be a chance.

Yeah I think Freo made a mistake not picking him up and I think Port made a mistake delisting him. Had a promising first season but had some pretty bad osteo pubis after putting on weight fast and had a shit second season. If he is over his injuries should kill it this year.

I think Hogan will be Melbourne's Pav. As much as we need him, Melbourne probably need him more given the shitty times they've had. Hogan is exactly the player they need to build a club around and hopefully bring success to the club.

Would absolutely cry with joy if we got him though but I don't see it.

Realistically I can only see us getting 1 out of - Mccarthy, Hooker and Hogan and that would McCarthy. Would be awesome to get Mccarthy and Hooker. Would be an absolute wet dream to obtain Hogan too.

Melbourne are bloody old, so they have some pretty flash legends like Barassi & Norm Smith who Hogn probably won't displace.
Maybe he could be a major part of Freo's 1st flag & therefore an all time legend of the club

If he didn't want to play for us he would be talking to the blue'n'yellas.

Giants need to move on. You have pretty reasonable KPPs plus some in the bank. You drafted a similar style of player via your Academy last draft by the sounds of it, and will have access to more. I am really bemused by the fixation with a young player who does not want to be there, and is pretty miffed with the treatment he received from the club.

Exactly why strangle a player to death when theyare stockpiled and could have gotten something for him. Now they might not get anything.

GWS will lose more players and Gold Coast are starting to lose some class.

Gutted Shaw wasn't chosen as a rookie pick for freo. I saw him play well in both finals for the Port Magpies in the SANFL last year.
