I see in the Age,a number of advertisers are complaining about the L-Word.But they still advertise on Poofy Eye for the confused Guy.Double standards, perhaps?.

this is an outrageous joke. we're bombarded with gay guys on every new show these days, but get a show with lesbians, and everyone is outraged.

i enjoy the l word and will watch it for the time being. it's the only thing i can watch without having to put up with a token (male) gay couple.

I guess the whole issue is about standards. I have not watched any of these shows but it seems we have standards that are accepting more.

A friend told me to look at Queer as Folk- that is pretty full on but I guess the fact it is on SBS makes it alright. QasF is very explicit- no nudity but plenty of sex and it is fairly graphic. Maybe the L Word shows more nudity (I am not sure.....never seen it) than Queer as Folk etc.

And have they seen Queer as Folk?:p
Basically it's some advertisers complaining about the Sex on the show.As these same advertisers also advertise on Poofy Eye for the Confused Guy,i really cant see why they want to withdraw their advertising from the L-Word.That's why i say double standards.

As i said the show seems rather episodic,on another thread on this subject, rather then plot driven. But i understand that it's starting to develop a plot,so i'll watch it.

I don't think bots count as nudity these days - QAF has plenty. You never see their wee-wees though.

L-word has had some maps of tassie. Waiting with baited breath for Jennifer Beals' though.
