Analysis The lack of leadership myth

One thing that often irks me is the claim that we only recruited kids and should've gotten more solid nature angers to help the kids.

I present the following to help bust this myth about GWS during its infancy.

So at any 1 time a quarter of our list was mature age which in my eyes is a ok number. Hopefully this dispels any false assumptions that we had a list of 48 teenagers.

Joel Patfull was in the Lions leadership group in 2014 as well, the youngins will do well under his tutelage.

Most of the anger seems to be that we didnt trade our top picks for spuds or retirees. What they dont understand or want to believe is no one wanted to trade these high picks for an equal class of player. Basically we were targeted to be robbed and our management didnt bend over. We built the best list we could under the circumstances we had at the time.

Yes, there is a frustration that we didn't just take anyone, or if we took them later (eg Dylan Addison) it was on better terms than previously offered.

How dare our Footy Club not abide by the dictates of Eddie Maguire, the footy reporters at the Herald Sun or Big Footy members!
