I think this game is a reflection on what would happen in an actual zombie outbreak.

We would get our arses kicked.

Pie 4 Life and Rodney Dangerfield were the last to get eaten alive, before the rest of the village gave up and accepted their fate.

Although Old Jack I think is just asleep in his shack.
