Love this, first album was up there with Alex Turners best work. Can't wait to see what else they come up with. Really digging all the strings in this one

Definitely worth its own thread. In fact, the one dedicated to 2016 music just isn't right for this piece of 2016 music.

If I deem it to be worth its own thread, then worth its own thread it is.

(Real talk didn't actually see that thread. If it needs to be merged then I'll leave it to those that can)

Big fan of Alex Turner and LSP but Bad Habits has not excited me.

Not that fussed with this new song (although it has a decent groove) but the last album was solid enough that the new one will be worth a punt...

Yeah it's shit.

Basically just an inferior version of the Bohicas.

I think it's obvious how this album'll sound, and Meeting Place is not it. I think it'd be pretty poorly received if it was though, because as good as the first album was, it definitely sounds like it could've been a very good album from about 11 different acts. You don't want to repeat the mid-2000s NME indie rock sound as good as it used to sound.

A fantastic lyricist will Alex always be, but I feel less and less energised with his music these days. The first album and SIAS are incredible works, the second is so fun, and AM used to give me confidence like no other music ever has... and it reminds me of profoundly special times. But I dunno, not many acts scream sell out these days, but he sort of does...

Guess I'm in the minority here, but I enjoyed the track a lot.
So did I. I think it's clearly a middle of the album track, not a stand out single in itself. I'm thinking there'll be bigger ones around it.

Is the first LP worth checking out?

I haven't really dug The Arctic Monkeys since Humbug but there's always a few good songs in between the cacophony of filler.

Get into it. Chill to some Pigeon Detectives and Los Campesinos! while your at it.

I can barely wait for this album. Couldn't listen to Aviaton because I'm saving it for the album, don't want to know most of the album before the first spin! Everything you've come to expect has an almost Tame Impala sound to it.

F*** April 1st can't come quick enough!

Lame Impala how? It's just really, really melodic and the guitars aren't.
