Does anyone have a tip for a late change...weather, niggling injury.
I'm not entirely confident with MJ and Silver could get a look in.
Thoughts?

Yeah from what I'm hearing I'm starting to get pretty worried about MJ, the silver lining is that Silvagni is capable but Johnson is still hugely important.

MJ would be a massive out because he'd be the key player in keeping Breust under control while Elivs and Dawson take the regular tall fwds - MJ has shown he can play any sized fwd and is so smart. I watched him closely in the Prelim and he just makes very good moves with and without the ball and is so cool under pressure these days.

SCOS would give his all, is aggressive as anything, but would struggle because he just doesn't have the speed and agility to handle the Hawks fast moving fwd line.

Big out if it goes this way.

Crowley to go to Burgoyne. In all the Crowley talk very little has been said in regards to who he will go to. It's just assumed he will go to Mitchell. Considering his last two opponents were expected to be sell wood and hannebery I hink him going to Burgoyne is a real possibility. I think I would be easier o shutdown Burgoyne both mentally and physically.

Cons: Burgoyne takes Crowley to full forward
Crowley can exploit Sam Michelle's lack of height when going forward

No late changes, will have to chop MJ's leg off to stop him playing
No suprises coming, Crowley to Mitchell

Only thing different from last last week should be Neale in starting 22
Sutcliffe sub.

Don't think that's going to happen mate. Hawks have a flock of forwards, Sutcliffe will play on one of Breust/Poulopolu/Riloi.

My only late change is that my hotel offered me a deal on the breakfast package just then as I checked in.

I took it.

Crowley is not the only watchable matchup. Buddy is going to get the closest attention he has had since Wellingham was last in town.

I don't like this thread. Yeah, it's probably just my nerves but every post makes me feel uneasy and I don't know whether posts are serious or not. :(

Word is that MJ is 50/50 at best. Is scheduled for a fitness test in the morning and a decision will be made then. Sheridan to come in for him if he goes out...

That sucks, but is the vibe I was getting too. Seems like if this wasn't a GF, then he'd be a certain out. That's never a good sign.

RTB is very experienced though. I'd be surprised if he falls for playing a star player that can't make it through like I've seen many coaches fall for. I'm sure he'll make the best call.

Given the forward setup surely Silvagni would come in for Johnno? I suppose if it rains though the extra runner in Sherro makes sense. Really really hope he comes up.

It's about pace. I posted it above. As long as you've got Roughhead and Buddy covered (not slow players to begin with), the next thing is to make sure you can cover Breust, Rioli and the like who, more than anything, use their pace and smarts that the others create. SCOS would struggle to keep up.

It would not surprise me to see Sherro come in, he would probably come off the bench. Neale into the midfield rotation, Mzungu to play HBF type role like he did in the Cats game. That's the likely scenario IMHO (assuming MJ doesn't play of course).
