I have been saying for a long time now, that we have to trade to the West, draft from the West.
Leon Davis is a very good player when hot. He is also very inconsistant, but you got to think of one thing. How many aboriginals are consistant? Not many, Andrew McLeod a perfect example. Has had a pretty inconsistant season and will poll 10 more votes this season. He polled 18 votes last year, only in 6 games!!!
David Wirrpunda has been probably the most in-form player in the competition of the last month or two. Brendan Lade and Josh Mahoney are also in that same catorgory. Wirrpunda has said before on radio he would love to play with Collingwood and is a Melbournian who is big trade bait.
Collingwood is at the top of the list to get the great rebounding defender, and Leon Davis is a player that would be thrown in the deal. West Coast's spine is improving each week. McDougall, Gardiner in the forward line. Glass and Hunter/Lynch in the back half, but Tristan Walker, also Western Australian could probably add depth to the West Coast list, but that is a maybe.
Collingwood will have pick 7-9 so that will come into play, maybe Davis and No.9 for Wirrpunda would be fair, and West Coast may also chuck in Paul Johnson, a Victorian who was very good with Dandenong Stingrays.
Just waiting for more good news on this Wirrpunda deal.

i think Wirra has too many ties in WA to want to leave, especially with his foundation that he has set up over here (which is also heavily tired to the eagles). Saying that, if the club chose to trade him, there's not much he could do. A key forward like Tarrant would be awsome at the eagles next year especially with Gardiner coming back to play a forward role as well. Wirra and a first rounder i think would be a pretty good deal for everyone however our first rounder would probably have to be somewhere around the 6-10 mark and it's most likely going to be about pick 13.

I'd offer Davis and another player (O'Bree maybe) for him, or Davis or O'Bree or similar and a second round pick. Alternatively a straight swap for Woewodin.
With Danniher saying he wants to get Farmer back to Melbourne, it would create a spot for Leon next to Medhurst

I would love to see him at Blueland next year but apart from a high level draft pick which we won't be giving up, we don't have a player that we could afford to lose that the Weagles would be interested in.
Maybe they would interested in swapping for Franchina!!!!
Unfortunately for Pie or Blue supporters I can't see Wirrapunda coming to either club.

Yes he is. We have too many of them. Tarrant I am one out on and I can't see it happening unfortunately. I just hope Rocca fires, Cam makes it impossible to drop him and richards actually wins in the ruck. Then decisions will have to be made with forwards. Tarrant might be moveable then.
