Pricks in the federal government completely abandoned and forgot about us over the past few months (unless taking a potshot.)

We won't forget.
I almost choked when Fraudenberg said in his passionate speech that our PM has been providing support each and every day to Victorians.
Never mind his little tantrum today was an attempt to look like a statesman so he can take the top job when they give the useless fat campaigner the arse.
It’s so frustrating hearing Jim Chalmers speak then having to listen to Fraudenberg and realise that he’s the treasurer and how ****ed we are.

Wait til they blame us for the next negative quarter - we still have that to look forward too

Add Super to that list to see if the workers would prefer a pay rise to an increased Super balance. People are entitled to a choice in the ongoing Covid world.

Lets face it these problems have existed under Govts of both colours to the chagrin of political advocates.
Definitely prefer pay rise as auto super exceeds contribution cap (I think I actually lose money as result with “fees for excess” and div 293”)

Just under a million dollars per contact traced by the Covid app. More prudent economic management.

Sadly another FAIL by the Aus IT industry (e.g Myki), a problem for the industry when we want to be a smart country in the post covid era. Toss in our recent decision to run with US contract tracing software in Victoria and we are not getting much right with so much riding on jobs post covid.

Isn’t the new Vic contact tracing system Scottish?

Phuckk me this is a crooked government.

The only thing that matters is optics.

And with a complicit media the optics are always pretty good. Anywhere they are bad is dismissed as lefty bias.

Complicit media.
De-fund existing investigative arms.
Refuse to create an ICAC.
Do whatever the hell you want with tax payers money.

What a world

Above the counter is one thing, the Badgerys Creek deal reeks of conspiracy & it should be investigated publicly ICAC style, even though ICAC destroys people only to go on to prove they are innocent. Nonetheless it must happen, as we see IBAC in Vic with plenty on their plate, whilst WA a senior public servant is in gaol having plundered $ millions whilst others are living the high life overseas having seen the writing on the wall.

There is far too much of this sort of thing going on, poor judgement at Aus Post, then there are the plain ordinary crooks & they arent politically aligned.
Audit Offices must be well funded & report without fear or favour. It is a thankless task that must be above tawdry political patronage.

Which innocent people has ICAC “destroyed”?

This thread should be renamed the lefty whinge thread about the lnp.
Let's face it, if you want to complain about schittehouse government, the Coalition delivers so much material to work with.

People are welcome to list their stellar achievements. (Don't get bowled over in the rush.)

New Zealand and the US compile public registers to ensure their Jobkeeper-type subisidies are not rorted by businesses. But no such transparency for Australians. As the Government singles out bureaucrats such as Australia Post chief Christine Holgate for corporate excesses, Tasha May shines the torch on pandemic rorting at the top end of town.

So does being a lefty now include being unhappy about blatant corruption from the Federal Government?

Such as, given you know the definition of corruption is not just something/someone you dislike.
Its rampant at all levels of Government as a casual read of any news service will show.

A good model may be the powers of the WorkSafe Commissioner in Vic.

this isnt my area of expertise, but these things should have a wide remit, should have independent funding and authority, and should have teeth

scomo's creation has none of these, as intended
