And this doesn’t happen on the other side of politics? How naive are you?
How naive are you? It happens a lot more with this Coalition “government”.

By any measure of transparency, probity and accountability, they are demonstrably worse than any other federal govt we’ve had.

The Coalition winning in 2019 when everyone, including themselves, expected to lose, was the worst thing that could have happened to Australia.

They concluded they are effing Teflon and have behaved accordingly.

It’s really important that voters understand how much this iteration of the Coalition has trashed standards of governance.

Labor are not perfect, god no, but they are streets ahead of these cheap trick specialists.

You obviously don't live in Victoria, the state where an autocratic Labor premier and his Premiers Private Office ['PPO'] made up of 400+ faceless, unelected and unaccountable public servants, run this state with absolute impunity, prompting one former Labor minister to liken the arrangement to 'West Wing' rather than Westminster.

Correct, I don't live in Victoria.

My post clearly referred to federal politics, where we currently have the most corrupt federal government in our history.

EFA. You talk about corruption. Do you even know what corruption is? Have you ever dealt with a government or government agency that is genuinely corrupt, with ministers and individuals on the take, where decisions are bought by the highest bidder, where there is no recourse, where Police are corrupt, where the court system is inextricably linked to the government and decisions dictated by the government???

I didn't think so....

Yes I do know what corruption is.

I'm also intelligent enough to grasp that while the Morrison government is not corrupt like say, Ferdinand Marcos was corrupt, it is far worse than anything we have seen before in Australia at the federal level.

That sort of subtlety seems to elude you.

Historically, Australia has had a very good record for transparency and accountability, but Morrison's gang of looters is trashing that, just like they've trashed so much about this great country. Take your head out of the sand and do some reading.

Well luckily we live in a country where the government can be voted out. Pity the ALP introduced the policy that its leader cannot be ousted mid term, because Anthony Albanese is a massive liability who changes his views like wind shifts and is unelectable, just like his predecessor, Bill Shorten who was the ultimate political opportunist (I will never forget Bill being asked what he thought of a statement made by Julia Gillard, to which Bill responded, "I didn't hear what she said but I agree 100%")

Worse than what Gough Whitlam did? The Whitlam government was so bad that future PM, Bob Hawke, fed the US Intelligence information that was ultimately instrumental in bringing about Whitlam's downfall.

And what exactly has the Morrison government done that in your eyes constitutes "corruption"? You come up with nice little expressions like looting transparency and accountability. Put your thesaurus away and tell me the facts.

No, you do some reading so you understand the topic. (Hint: type "Morrison government transparency" or somesuch into the search engine of your choice.)

jabba palmer gonna do exactly what he did last election.

Pretend to piss on the libs for all of 2 seconds then revert back to the usual dogwhistling while funneling preferences to the scum.

I made a thread a few years back that documents all the dodgy s**t i can remember from the previous 3 govts.

Feel free to debunk what you can, a few have tried and failed limp-wristedly

Gotta love good ol' Fried Dough's latest attempt to excuse the inexcusable wasted billions from Jobkeeper...

'If businesses had known that they might have to pay it back, much fewer would have taken the money.' [paraphrased]

Yes, the Australian Treasurer, mighty intellectual that he is, really did just try to convince us that there are businesses out there who wouldn't take what amounts at worst to an interest free loan. 🤣
