13/18 played in a prelim final
14/18 won a final

That can't be right he left that half-drunk one to get warm, during half-time against Sydney last year, so I doubt he finished that one.Since taking the job, Ken has drank a total of 103,592 coke zeros during match day
This is why I love Port supporters, they know their footy.View attachment 733851
As you can see we're not tracking too well on our kicking goaly metric

Our scorey totally needs to do some worky hardering-y over summery.

I have zero memory of Daniel Motlop nearly kicking 60 goals in a season. That'd almost win you a Coleman these days.

In 2014 Port Adelaide were sitting 2 games a top the table, past mid year and still finished 5th, but you know what after that good finals series there was a lot of excitement around. A youthful and choc full of talent list, a reserves side that also made the GF and some outstanding trades.
Let’s explore what has happened in the 5 seasons since and why the club has no option but to remove Ken immediately before the club enters a dark period of 5-10 years if he is retained:

KEN HAS A PREOCCUPATION WITH SHORT FORWARD
- Ports leading goal kicker in 2019 was a 1st year small forward with 29 goals
- It was the equal 2nd lowest total of goals to win the award since 1952
- Since 2014, our leading goal kicker award has been won by small forward 4 times out of 5.
KEN REFUSES TO SUPPORT OR DEVELOP A TALL FORWARD LINE. KEN HAS A HATRED OF THEM
KEN IS A GRAVEYARD FOR FORWARDS
- The state of Ports forward line has had people with a half a clue about football tearing their hair out since 2014.
- Key forwards are the most important players in the competition
- These statistics are proof Ken is a fool
- Middling 2nd/3rd tier honest triers games under Hinkley
Jake Neade 66 games under Hinkley
Kane Mitchell 35 games under Hinkley
Sam Gray 94 games under Hinkley
Nathan Krakouer 29 games under Hinkley
Cam O'Shea 59 games under Hinkley
Andrew Moore 36 games under Hinkley
Aaron Young 64 games under Hinkley
Paul Stewart 36 games under Hinkley
Cam Sutcliffe 5 games under Hinkley
Total: 420 games
Developing Key Position Forward games under Hinkley- John Butcher 19 games under Hinkley
Billy Frampton 3 games under Hinkley
Todd Marshall 16 games under Hinkley
Dougal Howard 13 games under Hinkley as a forward (6 games in 2016 and 7 in 2019)
Mason Shaw 0 games under Hinkley
Total: 51
- In John Butchers second last game he had 20 disposals, took 11 marks and kicked 4 goals
- Jake Neade never cracked 20 disposals in any of his 66 games. He only kicked 4 once
- 27 year old Cam Sutcliffe, played more games in 3 weeks than Billy Frampton was given in 4 years
- Brett Eddy kicked 4 goals in a quarter pre-season vs Crows. His next game was the showdown, in the wet, played on a wing for a few minutes game time. Ken deliberately stunted Eddy
- All Ken had to do is play another tall forward to decoy for Dixon. They didn't even have to be good. But he refused to. He even brought in Lindsay Thomas along the way. Meanwhile Frampton keeps getting goals in the reserves
- In one season Ken developed a game plan the fans called the "quadrangle of doom" but when the players went down one by one to injury and Ryder suspension he did not replace with any tall. Despite them being available in the 2s. Ken blew another season through arrogance
KEN’S STUBBORNNESS COST PORT ANOTHER FINALS CAMPAIGN IN 2019
- The culmination of that was the game against GWS where Port didn't pick a recognised KPF, and comically bombed the ball to Phil Davis without an opponent over and over again
- 7 years into Hinkley's tenure, that was the best he had to offer
- The lack of respect that Ken Hinkley has shown to forward structure is absolutely ridiculous
- Within 20 seconds of a game Dixon is found on the defensive 50 line by the boundary.
- Dixon was an AFL leader for contested marks. Dixon is now an AFL leader for Free kicks against and Clangers.
- When Dixon leads in the F50 he usually marks it- unusual for his concrete hands. He either refused to lead or is instructed to not lead
- IF he gets the ball he kicks it to a 3 on 1 Sam Gray
- Frampton 31 goals in 11 SANFL games, 5 of them kicking 4 or more goals in a game.......Ken Brings in Cameron Sutcliffe instead for 5 games
- Ken says lets try something different, play todd Marshall AND Charlie Dixon. It works. Ken doesn't do that the following week
- Up until Rd 14 when Dixon returned, Ken played Frampton in Rounds 9 & 10 only
- In his 2nd AFL game (1st was in the loss to Essendon in Rd 23 2018) Frampton kicks a game high 3 of the teams 13 goals in the win vs Gold Coast from 3rd least time on Ground
- In his 3rd AFL game Frampton kicks 0 goals of 6 in a team loss vs Hawthorn, No multiple goal kickers from 5th least time on Ground
THE PLAYERS DO A TERRIFIC JOB GETTING IT INTO THE F50
- It is up there with the best clubs for # of inside 50s
- But is down there at the lowest for conversion
- This is because Ken empties the forward line. If he does play Dixon there he is 1 on 3
- If Dixon runs to CHB to get the ball he hoofs it to Sam Gray who is 1 on 3
- This is why it is urgent to remove Ken now. While our other players are good enough to go around again under a coach who will improve the I/50 to score ration
- In 2020 Ken will deliver more of the same. Ken will not change at all: PORT WILL NOT MAKE THE FINALS IN 2020
KEN FAILED AND LOST THE CLUB A 2 X All AUSTRALIAN POTENTIAL BROWNLOW MEDALIST

- Ken’s inability to manage and retain Wingard was a mark on his own player management skills
- But it typifies Ken’s as a player career-killer. Wingard kicked OVER 50 goals!!!!! in 2014. How did he decline so badly?
KEN CANNOT DEVELOP A PLAYER. HE IS A CAREER KILLER
- Over the 7 seasons Ken has had 6 game plans and 2.5 list rebuilds
- He has been given high quality, high salary top up players in Ryder, Watts, Motlop, Rockliff, Lycett & Dixon
- All bar Lycett have been a categorical flop
- Ken’s arrogance saw him drop Lycett for the game where Port lost to a team coming off a single goal game, and fell out of the 8. Destroyed from the opening ruck bounce
- In late 2019 Ken threw Xaview Duursma under the bus and lied about him being dropped
- In late 2019 Ken threw Scott Lycett under the bus and lied about him being dropped.
- Ken dropped lycett after a 20 possession, 22 hit outs, 4 tackles. 5 clearances, 11 contested possession game against GWS
- In his media conference on 27/8 he blamed the players for the season
KARL AMON IS THE ONLY PLAYER TO IMPROVE UNDER KEN
- Oliver Wines is a shadow of the player he was in his first season
- The other co-captain (itself a pox on the club) Tom Jonas is a shadow of the player he was
- Sam Powell Pepper is a shadow of the player he was, watch him be the scapegoat for 2019
- Karl Amon has just requested a trade out of the club
- Dan Houston would be wise to get out of the club, as would Scott Lycett and Billy Frampton
MEMBERSHIPS WILL FALL IN 2020
- 3,000 less members equates to around a $1.5m revenue hole
- The club cannot afford to lose any members. But it will
THE DECISION TO KEEP KEN ON WILL PUT THIS CLUB BACK 10 YEARS
- Never in the history of the club have the fans been so disenfranchised, and demotivated to the forward year
- Even during the depths of 2011 and 2012 the fans were proud of the club and knew its shortcomings
- Primus and Williams had no staff, no support. Williams was also toilet cleaning to save money
- Primus’s assistant Coach was Dean Laidley, who lived in Melbourne and did his player 1 on 1’s via skype. SKYPE!
- Port were at swamp Park with Baycovers
- Even losing 2 weeks in a row by 135 and 167 you felt there was light ahead. But not now.
- Going to a game is a drudge where you know within 4 minutes whether this will be another one of those games
- Ken Hinkley has been given everything a coach could dream of and destroyed it. He is a Dementor, sucking the skill out of players. He is the longest serving, least successful coach in the clubs history
- David Koch is a port supporter from way back. So far back that few recollects ever seeing him at Alberton before he became Chairman
- Keith Thomas comes from Norwood. It is suggested that he does not even attend meetings with executive because it is below him
- The members think they have a membership but they don’t.
- PAFC is a franchise of the AFL. It has 9 board members who are the “members” think of in a sports club. 7 are appointed by the AFL, 2 recommended to the AFL from the club (fans vote contributed) and the AFL decided whether to accept the club’s nomination
- Its board include Cos Cardone, employed by Collingwood President Eddie McGuire’s company. And Holly Ramsome, the AFLs “millennial” appointment who is a WCE member and supporter
- If Port get off to a bad start in 2020 the attendance will continue to fall and the club will have to cut spending
- The AFL and the Port board are more than comfortable with the club being around 8th – 13th, in the sniff for the 8 towards the end of the year
- PAFC exists to support a TV rights deal that requires 18 teams and 2 from SA.
- Its on-field success is irrelevant to the AFL, as long as it doesn’t fall so low that crowds won’t keep coming
- The AFL knows there are 25,000 happy clappers who are guaranteed to attend and will only move on Ken if they see the revenue threatening Port
THE ONLY QUESTION YOU NEED TO ASK
- If Ken was out of contract would the club re-sign him for 2020?
- Obviously the answer is no. Therefore he needs to be moved on
FIRING KEN WON’T COST AS MUCH MONEY AS YOU MIGHT THINK
- It will cost the club more in lost membership and attendance revenue to keen Ken than to pay him out
- Ken’s salary was always going to be paid. Thus firing him will only cost the marginal cost of the new coaches salary
- More people will sign up and attend in 2020 under a new coach than will attend in 2020 under Ken- he has had SEVEN years. The list is top heavy with older players. 2020 will not be an improvement on 2019
THE ONLY CHART THAT MATTERS

- Port Adelaide is standing on the edge of a cliff facing a terminal drop off
- Nothing else needs to be said
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Cancel your auto-renew for membership
- Not renew your membership for 2020
- Email the membership department mrichardson@pafc.com.au and the CEO kthomas@pafc.com.au and tell them you will only renew if they behave like a successful club would and remove Ken from the coaches box
