When your derby match is div 2 against Tranmere, in the same year Liverpool win the league for the 4th or 5th time in 6 years, on the way to a League, FA Cup and Champions League treble then come and talk to me about suffering. ;)

Everything is relative. When your status in the game is destroyed, it still counts as suffering.

When we won our last championship in 1987, we still won more titles than Arsenal or Man U had at the time. When you let that sort of thing slip, it is a major catastrophie. And now we've been pushed in the background by Man U, Liverpool and even Man City it seems. Guess you don't know how much that hurts, don't you?

It hurts because Everton is something I would give my whole life for, I love the club so much and it hurts that living so far away I feel helpless about our plight.

We are playing really badly. Plain and simple - it's a horror patch.

Steve Watson's start to this year would have had him SGE's squad had he of not been injured. But losing him on the right has been a massive blow. Gravesen is really battling, and McFadden looks more suited to a role on the left.

Super Kev is Super Krap. Too old, too slow. Raking in the dosh, and yes, he's been a wonderful servent of the club.

Rooney's not getting any game time or is injured/suspended, while Fergi always collapses at the prospect of getting 'fit'. The Radz can't put away the millions of chances he gets and Nick Chadwick doesn't look like he'll make it to me.

Jeffers will come good in time; how much did he add to our attack when brought on? When he gets one, it will be an avalanche.

Naysmith has had a great year in defence, and Yobo continues to be superb, but with Weir out and Pistone still being iced back, we look desperately thin. Peter Clarke is good enough for u/21, but not for Everton XI.

Steve Watson is indeed sorely missed, and you can see how so much better we were when he played, like in the game vs. Leeds. His versatility and wholehearted commitment are major plus points.

I reckon Watson ought to be a candidate for club captain, certainly better than anyone else who's worn the armband for us recently!
