I read your INITIAL ( great word that :thumbsu: ) post and will now address it .......

Definition of 'initial': occurring at the beginning

My initial post occurrued at the beginning. So yes, it is a great word. It's a pity you don't understand it.

Just another hater who's pissed because he doesn't own a FERRARI or have MILLIONS of dollars !!

Why don't YOU post YOUR age , sunshine ??

Please, stop using caps. I don't like shouters. And no, I'm not "pissed" as a result of not owning a Ferrari or having millions of dollars.

The age question was rhetorical. That means no reply was asked for.

Lleyton? Is that you?:p

who did he beat in that final? ley ley was just warming rogers seat

There is no doubt he was warming Rogers seat. So if Roger is so good why the hate for Lley?

Take out Roger and who would have won his Grand Slams? Not saying Hewitt would have won all 10, but I think he would have at least 3 more

Hewitt will never be top 20 again.

His ranking has improved from 19 to 17, but he made two finals in February 2006, so he'll probably fall out of the top 20 within a month and will struggle to keep his ranking. He made the 4th round at the French, won Queens then made the quarters at Wimbledon. I have him at about #30 by the end of the year.

None of those results are overly compelling compared to what he's capable of. He should at least make 2 grand slam semi's this year.

People were saying that Hewitt was never to be a top 20 player again when he dropped to 19 in the rankings in 2003 in identical fashion as 2006.

People forget he has no points to lose , the way they work it anyway. So Hewiit needs to play twice as many tourneys and his points should rise

You have to appreciate his commitment to Davis Cup when the likes of Federer couldnt give a stuff about representing there nation.

I might not rate ya as a bloke but when it comes to the Davis Cup, we should all put our feelings aside and support him.

Tennis is a individual sport. Davis Cup is a good competition but is vastly ovverated. In the end, grand slams are what matters and in 15 years we will remember Federer as a guy who won 20+ slams, whereas we remember Hewitt as a solid player who won 2 slams. Playing for your country is fine but if it stuffs around with your schedule to peak for the grand slams, then I can see the players' point when they don't play!

I remember Pat Cash and I couldnt guess how many Grand Slams he won... 3 2 Aus Opens and a Wimbledon?
