Well as the season has finished for the dockers, I think many of us have forgotten that the dockers are set to play West Coast in London at The Oval on October 8th.
It's likely this team will be made up of mostly rookies and fringe players, duking it out for a spot on the senior list. As I read earlier in an article on afl.com.au 7 players have had or will have surgery.
Heath Black
Josh Carr
Matty Carr
Ryley Dunn
Paul Haselby
David Mundy
Matthew Pavlich
So injury permitting, who is likely to actually pull on the purple and take the field?
We will probably see a few debuts made. Copping, Stribling, Duffield, Warren, Krieger, Juniper? And sneaking back into the side might be the likes of Haines, Hayden, Browne, Webster, Gilmore, Johnson and even dare I say it Woods.
Does anyone know if it's like the pre-season competition that allows more players on the interchange bench etc?
It opens the door for Murphy to have a crack at CHF for a full game and with both Peter Bell and Pavlich likely to be rested, we might see a surprise with Luke McPharlin or Shane Parker set to captain the side.
