Going a bit off topic but at the start of the year I mentioned that my wife and I were having a baby, well things didn't work out the way we wanted and she had a miscarriage (would have been due end of Oct). All is good though, after some healing, physically and emotionally, we jumped back onto the horse and are now well on the way to having our first baby (due April 24th). She is 21 weeks pregnant and last week we found out that it's a boy and future Fremantle member (Much to my wife's families dismay, bloody Hawks supporters) and Sactown baller.

Feels good man.

Great to hear brah.

Hopefully you'll be able to jump online and order some mini-Kings gear next year - should be quite safe now knowing that the proceeds won't go straight up a Maloof's nose.

my cali brah. many congratulations from this side of the country. condolensces about the miscarriage. i am positive that babby to be borned in april 2014 will be healthy and independent boy. may he be empowered to choose whichever team he wants.

wut? your wifes a hawk? lulza wouldve been a great GF day.

may the remaining 20 weeks or so be as smooth as a steph curry stroke.

Damn, wanted to watch Dallas vs. Portland today - sounds like a cracker. Also sad to miss Pacers whip San Antonio.

Did watch my second team, the Cavs (yes I do realise they're in the same division as the Bulls...) do their best to choke away their game against the Clippers. TY Blake, you tough guy you.

Am genuinely excited for Cleveland though. Brown may be killing Irving offensively, but hopefully he can learn a lot from a guy who knows his stuff defensively before he is rightfully fired for someone who is a bit more balanced and engaging.

For all the cries about Waiters being a bust as a No.4 draft pick because he isn't a competent starter, I don't see the issue. He has the perfect skill set for a Sixth Man (much like Jamal Crawford) and he can be just as integral to a championship team to any starter - admittedly Jarrett Jack is made redundant but both team and player should be able to move on amicably after this season. Likewise, Tristan Thompson is a solid citizen as a power forward that plays both ends of the floor well. After all you don't fit 5 star starters into a $58mil salary cap...unless you clone Steph Curry four times?

Bennett needs the D-League and a strong pre-season in 2015 more than anything, which shouldn't be any surprise for a guy who couldn't even get on the floor or in the gym to train between College and the Cavs' pre-season matches because of shoulder surgery. Olapido seems like the obvious pick now, but if Bennett can develop into a Deng-caliber stocky wing I reckon the Cavs will be more than happy given the 2013 draft has always been known to be very solid across the board with few genuine stars.

For now the Cavs can afford to lose games. They have a swag of picks to come (they don't owe anybody, and are owed lightly protected firsts from Miami, Memphis, Sacramento). IMO they should look for a solid 3&D wing as a mid round first round pick in the vein of Shumpert, Olapido, Butler, Sefolosha, Bradley. If Bynum sticks around, stays healthy, Thompson, Irving, Waiters will too. A possible roster going into 2014 would be.

Head Coach: Jeff Van Gundy ;) (perhaps not but thanks for the responses nbaman1 hans moleman Son of Skeletor stewie griffen )
Irving ($7.5mil)
2014 1st rounder
Clark ($4.3mil)
Thompson ($5.4mil)
Bynum ($12.5mil)

Waiters ($4.1mil)
Bennett ($5.6mil)
Zeller ($1.7mil)
Miles ($2.3 mil)
Karasev ($1.5mil)
Dellavedova

Let go of: Varejao, Gee
Trade: Jarrett Jack for someone of need.

Plenty of promise there.

Let go of Gee? Solid player on a solid contract. Should be done with Clark before Gee. He's quite clearly their best starting SF imo
