Ultimate arrogance was sacking a guy who six months earlier had taken them to a CL final and third successive top four finish.
League form had fallen off a cliff for over 10 months before he was sacked. Not many managers of a top club would expect to survive scoring 40 points over the last 31 league games. CL run masked how bad the league form was

Surely Neymar plays as the CAM/SS in Poch’s system?
Wide left cutting in? Mbappe behind Icardi?

Will be interesting to see if he changes his approach to fit them all in. Or if they fit to his system.

Neymar - Mbappe - Messi behind Icardi. With a strong CM pair behind them perhaps?

Highly doubt Mbappe is there next season.

I highly sought Messi goes there and if he does he’ll have to be in the hole because he doesn’t have the work rate for a RM

Take that with a pinch of salt, but there does seems a strong possibility that Lampard could get the flick by Roman and Chelsea before the season is over.
Think his days are numbered anyway, and not neccesarily all his fault, it was a naive/rose tinted appointment of a club legend with a relatively new and unproven managerial record by Roman in the first place.

Chelsea should target Ralph Hassenhutti who is doing a very solid, if not downright impressive job with Southampton.

Someone is bound to get Hassenhuttl. I almost want all club's to be okay for the next 18 months so we get him at the end of Mourinho's 2.5 year contract. But it looks like Chelsea would be leading the sack race of all the top club's and with their owners track record it could be sooner rather than later unfortunately for all.

Hassenhuttl does like full control and a project though so maybe that wouldn't see him want the Chelsea job.

He'll get to the end of the season.
Been 5 years since we sacked a manager midseason.

Tuchel and Allegri are going to be the obvious candidates but I'd prefer us to have a crack at Nagelsmann if Frank does end up getting the flick. Plays a high-pressing, fast-attacking style and would get the best out of Werner. ten Hag is another possibility.

Brendan Rodgers could be a chance too.
Was wondering about Rodgers to Chelsea actually.

I think a few people probably still had questions over him with how they finished last season, but with the way they've played so far, I think he's put those to bed.

That said, I reckon he has a pretty sweet gig and far less pressure at Leicester, but he can still contend in a way, would he move?
