Assuming it is poch in charge this is a big win long term. Poch and his staff can work on the training pitch on who can or cannot play his way. He then gets Ragnick to fill the gaps. Poch best work with us and Southampton both came when Paul Mitchell who Ragnick poached to Leipzig did the player recruitment and he focused on the training pitch

This is a positive move in the right direction. Poch or Ten Hag in the summer hopefully.
Helps either of them immensely having a senior hiring between them and woody. I'm as big a poch fan as there is but he wouldn't be an instant knight in shining armour that turns you guys around on and off the field, at least not for 18+ months. But he has limitations when having to do it all. At least letting him focus mainly on his strongest area which is on the pitch you give himself and the club more chance to get things right quite quickly. Ragnick will weed out a lot of the crap for the new manager before they start too

After the s**t we've put Antonio through already a cheeky call into his agent wouldn't be impossible for United to get him thinking about making the switch!

What s**t have you put him through?

Will sort out a few of their squad

Rangnick is saying he doesn't like back passes to the goalie because he is the worst player on the field. That's valid to some extent. But I would argue that a goalkeeper that has skills on the ball like Ederson, Allison, Mendy gives you a tactical advantage over a team that goes back to the keeper as a last resort and a big hoof upfield.

Ragnick gives me Bielsa vibes. A hipsters dream, an “inspiration” for people that actually are top managers, yet he’s spent his career mulling around at places like Spartak Moscow and Stuttgart.

Ha yeah, seen a fair bit of comparison of him to Bielsa, in that he's inspired a generation of managers like Klopp and Tuchel despite being pretty average himself. Like Bielsa with Pep.
