It will be a huge shift in tactics to go from low block to half way line press. And part way through a season with little time to train as players are coming back from international duty. Arsenal might win by 3 or 4.

Yeah. We'll probably get tonked this week. It will take time. Ange loves his wing backs and Aina just did a hammy on international duty.
I can't wait to get absolutely battered now

They'll build a shrine to Ange in his first week if that happens.

I can tell you that Arsenal were sure things if Nuno remained. He was prepared to keep losing to get that payout.

It's harsh on Nuno to claim that he tried to throw the game against the Hammers. He selected the best 11 and made reasonable substitutions. It was 0-0 until 84 minutes with Forest having much more of the ball and 29 to 18 touches in the opposition box. It comes down the players. The forwards didn't put away chances and the defenders lost concentration at the end.

Reasonable substitutions?

He made 2 substitutions until the 90th minute then brought on 2 more once we were 2-0 down. Gibbs-White was having a stinker and he never thought to use Douglas Luiz and shift McAtee into the 10.

Having possession isn't the be all and end all, especially for Forest as we know. We sucked for much of that game and Nuno allowed it to happen as he was loyal to his players, not the players Edu brought in.

When you can't score, why would you not use Hutchinson and Kalimuendo a lot sooner?

Those are valid criticisms after a defeat but I don't think it means Nuno was trying to throw the game.

You have probably watched more of the games than I have but one stat I have noticed is that in each of the 3 games this season Forest has had significantly more possession than their opponents. Whereas last season Forest were one of the lowest possession teams. Ange likes high possession. Maybe the transition won't be too dramatic.

Wow. Not sure about this one. His style couldn’t be more different to Nuno, and he’s replacing a manager who the fans loved. Big job to take on and that’s without factoring in the mental owner.

Still, it’s good to see him back in the league.

He has to win, nothing else. This " style" discussion might mean something on a SBS show featuring a bunch of nobodies, but doesn't matter in the real world. I wonder if players think he is only appointed because he is Greek, like the owner who just inherited his dads business.

Hasn't even had a single game and your obsession is already back up and running.

I don't have an obsession, but will not comment on him again if it somehow offends you.

You seem to death ride him in every job he has, you're welcome to comment on him all you want, it's just funny.

Ange made the observation that we had already started to change a little. I just don't think the main 11 from last year (aside from Elanga leaving), are as suited to a more expansive game plan as some of the new signings are. We will have to make changes. One of the first ones might be Chris Wood. He will certainly only be playing in the EPL or Europe IMO.

No, I think the players are thinking we are going to play more attacking football and chase a trophy.

West Ham are eyeing Nuno Santo after his harsh sacking. Potter is in deep trouble.
I imagine Santo would then want some form of vengeance on the Forest owner.

I did read it and immediately got the mental image of Moe throwing out Barney.

That sucks. We might need Nuno when Amorim is sacked.
