I hope west ham are prepared for ugly and dire football. Might win a few games but he'll be in the sights soon enough like he was at spurs

Nuno has been fairly adaptable in his tactics.

He had a good team at Wolves with Jimenez, Jota, Neves, Neto, Gibbs-White. They were good to watch. He got them out of the Championship, then 7th in PL, and narrowly lost in the QF of the Europa.

When he took over at Forest they were 17th. Last season they were top 3 for many weeks before dropping away to 7th at the end. It was mostly low block and fast counter attack but this season they started with 3 higher possession games before he got the sack.

Clubs going from one style to a completely different one can't expect transition to be seamless

Squad built to play the nuno way

Not even in hindsight, but immediately looked like a terrible move for ange. Would have suited west ham squad more than forest

I just don’t know what either owner or Ange were thinking. He was never taking over without a pre season and doing well.

You’d probably have expected them to jag a win or two somewhere but it’s not completely shocking to me that they haven’t. I only hope this doesn’t impact his chances moving forward.

It was a terrible fit. As a Spurs fan, he only had limited success in his gameplan when Van De Ven and Romero were at the back, and were quick and mobile enough to cover the lack of defensive responsibility from the wing backs as they invert into midfield. The minute we lost those guys to injury, Ange's gameplan fell apart.

Looking at Forrest - they had been set up to be defensively solid and then counterattack, their centre backs were never isolated under a Nuno gameplan. Zero changes to this squad and a complete 180 in gameplan is just pure idiocy.

Ange needs to be less stubborn, but to be honest most of the blame needs to fall on Marinakis - laughable to sack Nuno and replace him with Ange without a pre season.... they've gone from being a European contender to a relegation fight within a month, all because of one mans ego.

Genuinely Ange might get the sack this international break - anyone know if that would be the shortest managerial stint in premier league history?
In terms of matches, Frank de Boer at Palace with four. In terms of number of days, chef stated above.
