Claims to have decided that the Scottish league doesn't get any better than where he already is.
He applied for a couple of vacant PL jobs and was knocked back. He wants to manage PL and believes the only way to do so is to get involved in the English Leagues.
Norwich are apparently all for it as it enhances the chances of keeping Hooper.
That's fair enough I guess - while it would be nice to keep winning the league, cup comps nearly every season and getting a Champions League campaign to try and cause a few upsets, if Lennon wants to manage at the highest level he can, he would need to leave Celtic.
It seems a lot of CL players and managers from Celtic and before that Rangers who have wanted to move to England over the years, have wanted to jump straight into the PL. For players in particular, it seems a lot of managers in the top flight tend to not rate dominating in the SPL as a strong enough reason to jump straight into the EPL and they have to drop down a level to prove their pedigree first. Probably a bit the same for managers - Martin O'Neill perhaps an exception to the rule though he did have some success with your boys Jatz before heading to Celtic. McLeish also had his Scottish national side experience on his CV. Lennon, as far as I know, has only managed at Celtic?
