Big Sam reportedly could be the next manager sacked with the club concerned over their NZ tour performance, the failure the transfer of Carroll and the fact that highly rated Ravel Morrison doesn't feature in his plans (despite being rated as a key future player by the board).

Apparently Moyes is the bookies favourite to replace him if Gold and Sullivan decide to pull the trigger.

I see its started early this season, you've got to really hate a manager to sack him before a competitive match.

Yeah, not sure how much truth is in those reports - surely they'd see how the start of the season goes before pulling the trigger? I think a lot of West Ham fans aren't keen on the game style they play and have doubts over Big Sam's ability to nurture and develop their young talents like Morrison and Poyet.

Have a soft spot for West Ham but they are a funny run club and seem to spend money in perhaps not the wisest fashion (guess you can afford to do that though if your owned by a boyhood fan who has money to spend).

Apparently their owner favourited a tweet hoping for BFS to be sacked.. not a great sign. :p
Yep he did! Not the biggest vote of confidence from the owner!

Big Sam is a decent enough manager - you won't get pretty football but he'll generally get results. Would be a good fit for a newly promoted side or a team trying to stablise into the top flight but I'm not sure if he's someone who can take a team into the upper half of the table/make a strong push to break into the top 6/7 teams.

Pretty sure he's also in the top 10 highest paid managers in the world as well!

Massive shock when I saw that this morning! Really gutted for you Milang_Panthers. If there is any silver lining here, it's that the season hasn't started and you have time to get a replacement in (and hopefully give them some time to get a few signings in).

Is it true it was over transfer funds?

Palace proved a lot of people wrong last season when you looked like you were basically gone within the first few months after Holloway left but ended up proving everyone wrong. Hopefully Jedinak and the team can hold that belief and unity together and rally again!

I wonder who they might turn to? I reckon Moyes would be a good get if he was interested - obviously didn't work out at Man Utd but has a proven record of doing well with a team with limited funds (which might be the case at Palace if Parrish isn't providing money for transfers).

Anyone willing to give Di Matteo a job yet? The guy's free payday's done, right
Didn't he only want to consider CL clubs or something?

I know we got linked to him at the end of last season when Pardew's position was seen as untenable but nothing really came about.
