The massive ads

The ads are taking up nearly a 3rd of the screen, and when you hit the (x) it just opens the page.

I use this site less and less because of the on going ad issues

I just hit X and it worked - which browser are you using?

I can't stop anyone using an Platinum Membership - https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/account/upgrades , of course. But it's a free service and we need to pay the very large server bills, software development etc. So we ask that people don't do that.

Registering an account gets you fewer ads.

To remove ads entirely, get a Platinum membership:

Chief , I'm getting a bit sick of an ADF/UNSW ad that appears at the top of the page. If you leave the mouse cursor over the top of it as you scroll down, the bloody thing stops you from scrolling and readjusts the page back to the ad, where it tries to expand.

I get that you have to advertise; it's why I don't use an https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/account/upgrades. But this actively interferes with my enjoyment of this site.

Do you have a link or a screen grab? It's on a secondary ad network and I have to manually block it.

It's shrinking the screen to add some kind of border. You have to wait for it to fully load otherwise you end up clicking on the wrong thread.
