Toss up for me between their ability.

Completely agree with them being better blokes. Not even close really.
Greg would not have enjoyed watching today(he probably didn't) and he certainly wouldn't be happy with the result.

If he did have the ability to self reflect, it'd be interesting if he saw Rory bounce back from poor shots and thought, "why couldn't I do that?"

Got to love you aussie haters. all class!
Why would he be upset with the result? Far out you guys talk some crap.

Because there has been bad blood between him and Rory and Rory just did something else that Greg couldn't. I hurt just as much as all of us all those times when Greg spit the bit.

He has tarnished his legacy since.

I love how hating on one particular Australian who is rather polarising equates to this blanket "aussie hater" tag. Apologies for not blindly following and supporting someone just because they were born in the same country.

Greg and Rory have been trading barbs for years now. Id say with near certainty there would be a little sour taste in Greg's mouth today.

Must be a tough day for you today GWS given your previous feelings towards Rory. I hope you're doing OK.

Every day is a school day. Today GWS discovered the term, "Career Grand Slam". Apparently it's new.

Nope wrong again, it's just not what the term was being used. You guys were all stating the Grand slam was a burden to him and rightfully pointed out he is not close to a grand slam. Career grand slam is whatever it is.

And burden on him, thats like saying the billionaire only made 300 million last year and he is struggling with the financial pressure.
Plenty of guys don't win any majors, to say because you haven't won one of them yet is a burden is simply a joke.

I am perfectly fine mate, but thanks for inquiring. Greg and Rory have different views on where golf should be. One thinks that it should be purely a north American product and the other thinks it should be a global product. I mean what a strange view to have for a global sport to be played globally by the best in the world.
Still reckon Greg will send him congratulations.

Pretty sure I always referred to it as a career GS. Anyone calling it a grand slam was clearly referring to the career.

Of course there was a burden. Just like the burden that Greg carried into the final round in 96 and all those other times. To say otherwise is ignoring the realities of dealing with heightened expectations. Go listen to Rory's presser. He spoke of the challenge of being told by Jack, Gary, Tiger, Tom etc that he was going to win one of these.

Nonsense. Rory is one of, if not the most "global" professional golfers in the game. He plays and has won everywhere.

Thats just not accurate at all.

Rory has previously stated he wants a global tour under the umbrella of the PGAT and DPWT. He has also stated that the PGAT should expand more globally.

Just not under the LIV banner or its format.

Thats all good and well but he is not fighting for it. He like the rest of them don't want to travel to play their sport. The whole idea 30 years ago was to do this under the PGA tour. And even under the LIV tour it was always about getting compromise and ending up a global tour. Unfortunately Jay refused to take the calls and we ended up with a new tour created instead.

Over the past 2 years, I’ve seen a 4 point lions loss in a granny and a 60 point lions victory.

Both genuinely do not come close to the emotional roller coaster of what I just witnessed. That took it out of me.

I am drained. But not as drained as witnessing the Tigers triumph in the 2017 prelim final. There were strangers hugging each other in the bays. And high fives even at the urinals.
