China actually played better in this match too, better ball retention, looked much better going forward, created quite a few chances. Huge game from Lydia Williams, she must be in the top few keepers in the world at the moment.

A really great Doco about Kyah Simon and Lydia Williams came out a few years ago. Two indigenous girls from very different backgrounds. Well worth a watch if you can track it down.

The Matilda's are probably our best and most entertaining sporting team at the moment and deserve more recognition than they are getting on this board. Their goal this morning was one of the best counter-attacking goals I've seen. In the end a little unlucky to draw 1-1 with the US.

Not to mentioned the 3-1 victory against Brazil which was the 4th consecutive victory against them.

If the Matildas beat Japan by more than the US beat Brazil we win the tournament again. Good preparation for the World Cup next year in France.

I'll go either way... but does anyone know when the cut-off time for full strength beer at aami is? 5pm is a yes, 7pm is a no - what's up with 6pm? (Asking for a friend!)

Looking forward to this. Hopefully Raso is back on the park by March and available for selection. Given she's back in full training with the Roar, I imagine she will be selected.

Idiots, this bloke has done wonders for all the girls and helped make them the darlings of sport in this country.
