Is Carpenter injured?

Same as Gorry I think. She took some personal leave because was getting married... to Danielle Van De Donk.

Could just be they needed an end of domestic season break.

Not sure what's happening with Raso.

Big squads named for the next games coming up in Perth and Bunbury, starting Thursday 26th June vs Slovenia.

Not sure what's going on with the 2 VC's named. Steph Catley and Caitlin Foord are two names missing, but Ellie Carpenter is back, as is Hayley Raso.

There's 14 A-League Women players, A few new names (5 Uncapped) including some promising U21's - Alexia Apostolakis (19yo) and Grace Kuilamu (18yo). Sally James (GK) I think is also new to the senior side though may have been in a squad previously.

Can't see the recent debutant Kahli Johnson or Cortnee Vine. Johnson did get an injury in the 2nd game of the recent friendlies against Argentina and was listed as missing due to injury the following week in the Canada Women's League. Vine was back playing in the US NWSL and scored a goal in the opening seconds of a game a week or so ago.

One surprising name is Jacynta Galabadaarachchi who had been talked about as taking up a chance with other another country (Argentina). She did make her debut in the A-League at Melbourne City as a 15yo when Joe Montemuro was coaching there about 9 years ago and has played in various leagues in several countries since - bit of time in the UK at West Ham and Celtic and also in Italy and Portugal. Maybe Montemuro talked her back into playing for Australia. She had been picked for one of Gustavsson's squads but never played.

The other uncapped player in the squad is Adriana Taranto who is a mature age midfielder that dominates at Western United in the A League.

Chloe Berryhill was formerly known as Chloe Logarzo.

Pretty amateurish kept getting more so except for a couple of players and a couple of goals at the end. Sayer looked good. Carpenter when she was on provided the usual energy and at least McNamara got to show her speed without being able to finish until that assist from Raso. Oh, and Micah blocked some clear chances that our defenders provided the assist for.

I had the TV sound down so I couldn't identify who was turning it over every time, and there was so many I wouldn't be able to remember half of them anyway.

Anyone catch anything from the Matildas vs Panama game played in Bunbury.

I thought it was starting at 5pm WST and was going to listen to the broadcast but it's already over. 1-0 win to Panama.

A few debutants in Apostolakis, Galabadaarachchi, Taranto and Kuilamu got game time. Still must be a disappointing scoreline.

1-0 to Panama after 34min in the 2nd match. Sounds like from the call on the radio a defensive pass error by Nash. Matildas got close earlier with Raso shooting into the post.

Actually a big of a banger by the Panama player. Errant pass but Van Egmond is typically slow.

Earlier shot by Raso deflected into the post and some follow up chances not put away.

Equalizer to Panama 2-2. Missed an earlier chance to even up. Nash might have been off injured.

From what I make out from the call, Nash had saved an earlier one off the line but was injured in the process and was off the pitch when Panama followed up by putting away the next chance. Nash came back on afterwards.

Henry and A.Taranto ON McNamara, ? OFF (I think it was Siemsen that was the other player subbed off).

3-2 to Australia in the 1st minute of 7 minutes of extra time. Sounds like a scrambled goal of Grant's thigh from a cross by Nevin.

Fair strike.

I suppose it's a good point but there's not going to be extra time in a friendly, so it's "extra" as in additional.
I know that, that's my point. It's additional time/stoppage time, not extra time. Extra time has a really specific definition in Football.
