It's all well and good and nice to hear, but we haven't achieved shit yet. Comparisons to Geelong ring hollow at the moment.
Yep: St. Kilda won its first 20 games in 2009 and then had that heartbreaking grand final draw in 2010. And the Dogs recently reached 3 straight preliminary finals. Neither team took full advantage of their time in the sun: which is something we need to avoid. It's damn hard to win a flag, but with the talent we have right now, we simply have to make hay while the sun shines.

our long term history, a story of success not against the odds but via kicking everyone else directly in the guts, with intent, is up in the stratosphere compared to those two but its an uncomfortable thought that in the modern era, to some cold hard stats munchers 2004 is by far the major difference between ourselves and those two. stuff like no wooden spoons, numbers of minor premierships and numbers of pre-season cups count for little more than myths like "shinboner spirit". doggies & saints ultimately failed in their earlier modern-era 'golden eras' as well back in the 1990s. the window is always slightly open but you really want to nail some opportunities while the window is open widest. the once-in-an-eternity double-bradbury being the exception that proves the rule.

But we are Port Adelaide, and with that in mind I'm thinking yes we Ken!

I will be just happy to make finals again and win at least one for this year. We have to improve an awful lot before contemplating winning one let alone multiple flags.
With this year's draw, I reckon we need to take full advantage, because the AFL are unlikely to be so generous in 2017. For mine, that means top 4 with at least 15 wins. From there, finals are played on the day and anything can happen.

Just listened to a really GOOD interview on 3AW with kenny. They really are a class above the idiots on AA and MMM. Hope it becomes available as a link.
If its not 3AW or SEN Ken seems to be on interstate media more and more. Get the hint SA media.

Thank you. I loved Kenny's response when they suggested the club was being 'nice' by making a private deal with Ollie to leave him free to go go home after this next contract. LOL the stuff they just make up out of thin air. They just can't believe that not everyone is desperate to go to Melbourne. Even Ollie himself has said several times that he does not see Melbourne as his home. Even Caro scoffed at the silly comment. Nice that Kenny was able to set the record straight. Those Vics haha. Apart from that was a great interview.
