So I just made the mistake of reading Jesper ****stick's Brogan and Cornes article. This was my favourite bit: 'Brogan will continue in his dual role of assistant coach and ruckman as he adds to his 183 games while back in Adelaide the Power is still struggling to find a dominant ruckman.'

Dean Brogan's 2012 stats: 9 games, 11.1 disposals, 3,9 marks, 1.3 tackles, 15.8 hitouts, 0 goals.

If only Port had a dominant ruckman like Dean Brogan! Let's ignore the fact that all three of Redden, Renouf and Lobbe had better stats than Brogan this year.

Who are the solid young players we've traded in? Heath and Stevenson were fringe players that couldn't crack the respective best 22 of either side. Of the youngsters, only Hombsch should be considered a solid and young player given his high ceiling. I haven't put Neade in as he could be Cyril Rioli or Elijah Ware

I know we need as much positive thought going into 2013 but I find myself agreeing with people or articles that are calling our list management changes what they really are - change
So you read my post, decide to focus on the word 'young' and then waffle off onto your "we're still shit" diatribe.
Good on you.

That's the joke.

You know, you are called MannumPower and I made the joke that you were mistaking the easter bunny for the Bunyip at Murray Bridge.

I'm sorry you missed it.
i'm not mistaking anything, both are real and portia is the toothfairy

How's this little gem from Jesper Felcher this morning...

"The re-signings of Brogan and Cornes continue to haunt Port, which struggled to come to grips with its loss to GWS last year with those two and former Power back-up ruckman Jon Giles making their old side look second-rate"

What a douche.
The re-signing of Gunston and Mattner continue to haunt Adelaide, which struggled to come to grips with its losses to grand-finalists Sydney (Mattner 21 possessions, 6 marks) and Hawthorn (Gunston 17 possessions, 2 goals) making their old side look second-rate.

Doesn't it fill you with a sense of glee to know that when we finally come good, and we're the ones toweling up sides by a lazy six goals every game, that these douches like Jasper and Capel will have to give out plaudits through gritted teeth?

NUFC, YES.
In hindsight, I'm glad we lost to GWS. The loss led to more positive steps being taken than a win ever could have.
I actively wanted it in the lead up to the game - was funny watching all the Port-haters at the restaurant I was having lunch at whoop-de-whooping as our demise unfolded when it was the best thing to happen to us in years.

Had Primus got another year we'd all be following someone else in 2017.

I read your post and determined that you threw a few things together that equal change without one indication that any of them will prove successful. I chose to focus on the ones which you could defend the easiest if you wished too

I don't need to defend anything. The list was intended to be all about the change, that was the point.

You're just so hell bent on preaching your End Is Nigh shtick that you'll jump at any opportunity to bleat it.

Next time, try comprehension.
You'll look less like an idiot.

I saw the fixture we have .....we should really win a lot more games the afl really softened our draw
We're no guarantee to beat Gold Coast here or there given they'll have 3 full preseasons and roughly 40-50 games into their army of top picks.

As tribey posted we are no guarantee to beat Gold Coast and we have also lost to GWS the only time we played them.

Interesting though that when the Cows got to play GC and GWS both twice in 2012 this was not a soft draw but now that it is our turn in 2013 it is a soft draw. We also play two 2012 top four sides twice while the Cows play no 2012 top four sides twice.

I know what the list was, I just don't agree with you that they were made in isolation nor they weren't specific responses to specific incidences along the way.

Who is the second top four side that we face? Adelaide and who? Don't we have Carlton and Geelong?
