Jack Hombsch: Don't really give a f**k Rowie

Crowe: Oooorrrr your a little beauty Jack but do you think they can win it?

Jack Hombsch: Don't really give a f**k Rowie

Crowe: But but given everything that has happened this year, its a Fairtytale isnt it?

Jack Hombsch: Don't really give a f**k Rowie. You do realize I play for Port don't you?

Crowe: Who?
You forgot his introduction of Hombsch fresh from his cave mining opal at Roxby Downs. :p

There's always an undertone of "you'd rather be elsewhere wouldn't you" about these types of questions to our Sturtwood lads.

If Richmond, Crows and Brisbane all win, Crows would finish 6th and the Dogs 7th. I see the Dogs have gone in unchanged only rested three ;)
Missed that one. So the Dogs and Richmond are the teams that really need to make an effort to keep away from AO.

One can only shake one's head after reading the media's response to North Melbourne resting players against Richmond. Mc Dermutt and John Ralph are up in arms at the Kangaroos selection yet thought it was OK when Fremantle gained approval for the same deal. Could it be that the Adelaide Football Club stands to loose from the Kangaroos decision ? The striking thing about the North Melbourne selection is that it is a charade. Those rested are cited as 'managed' and North have set a record for the number of knee injuries suffered in a game as five players suddenly have knee injuries. If a Club is going to rest players they should at least have enough integrity to say they are being rested.

Why should Port Adelaide supporters be asked to pay to see ten home games and one farce? From a purely selfish point of view I was looking forward to going to the Fremantle game to see us beat them at full strength but now I am really cold on the contest. I will go simply to support my Club but I have to wonder how many other supporters will not bother given the farcical situation.? I have to wonder how the gate will be affected by the lack of integrity that the AFL has condoned. I also think there is a case for Port to seek financial compensation from Fremantle in the event of a significantly reduced attendance.

The argument that ladder positions are at stake in one game while the top spot will not change in the other is totally irrelevant. What is relevant in both cases is the integrity of the competition. The argument that the draft order will not be compromised is also a furfy as a Geelong win and a Port loss will see these two clubs change order and draft positions thus the draft can be compromised the Fremantle and North Melbourne selection. In fact if Port loses to Freo and Geelong, GWS and Collingwood all win Port could drop from 9th to 12th and the National Draft order is changed. Thus every game has importance.

The competition's integrity is supposedly important to the AFL, at least that is what we have been told while the ASADA and WADA saga has been dragging on for three years. Yet despite this the AFL supports a rule that allows a side to rest up to 11 players simply by virtue of ladder position. I sense some double standards at play.

I have no issue with some of the argument Mc Dermutt and Ralph are putting forward but where were they when Fremantle sought approval to field an understrength side against Port Adelaide ? Why is only now when the Adelaide Football Club's finals ranking is jeopardised that we hear a chorus of objections? I guess the question is rhetorical and the answer nauseatingly simple.

Integrity is irrelevant when we have a weighted fixture and some clubs rarely get to play at the MCG, the horse has already bolted. Clubs resting players is the LEAST of the issues.

It's not like these idiots are going to win the flag. They should be seeing it as a valuable learning experience in their quest for a potential top 4 and flag tilt, which realistically, when Clanger leaves will be at least 3-4 years away if they draft well.
Given the same position I think the message from our Club would be Anywhere - Any time.

Wish I'd heard it all because a few minutes ago he apologized to Gillon on air as he thought he'd gone too far lol
Sooks at 5AA from morning 'til night. I'll bet Port are totally pissed about Freo as this could really affect our bottom line but at least our 'ambassadors' aren't there having public tantrums.

It reeks of the Eddie soaking in finals 2013 and look how that turned out.

Hodge on channel seven: "I was only just over the limit" " I only had a couple of drinks; 3 or 4" "I made an ERROR OF JUDGEMENT" Is that not the favourite saying of those caught out? Talk about being 'coached' about what to say. Pfft.
That, and a 'moment of weakness' are favorite cliches for disgraced players.
