Well that's a surprising article.

I didn't even know the Government permitted Crow-supporting parents to have children.

Can't say I've ever seen any Crow-supporting kids at the showdown wearing #32. In fact, can't say I've ever seen any Crow-supporting kids at all.

The only Crow-supporting people I've seen at showdowns have been people older than me, and I'm no spring chicken.

In retrospect I should have sat my then 9 and 7yos down when we lost Troy Chaplin, and made sure they were dealing with it ok.
Look at me daddy I'm an aeroplane and I'm flying to Melbourne!

Replace children with "a friend of mine" and you're probably getting closer to the truth of that article. It's a clandestine way of addressing immature Crows fans that have had their belief that the AFC is a football Hotel California rocked to the core.

You know when you watch a really obscure tv show or movie and you have a grin on your face because there was a person who put this tongue in cheek masterpiece together.

That's how I feel about this article.

Edit: if you haven't seen "what we do in the shadows" - watch it, then read the article with that in mind.

Once walked in to a doctors surgery sat down and happen to pick up a copy of readers digest and began reading it. There was a story I began reading advocating the use of nuclear weapons in Vietnam and I was thinking it was possibly the most brilliant piece of satirical writing I had ever read pure genius. Then I looked at the date of the copy of readers digest it was 1968 and the author was some general. The Advertiser doesn't do satire.
