i heard those two randoms on the way home interviewing Don Pyke (i think..) who spoke far too long about language and the language barriers and how they used different terminology where he came from and they're still trying to put the message across mid December. it's like he's Roberto Firmino adapting to life in Liverpool. inside scoop: they're not going to change their gameplan too much because Port's gameplan worked well last year. they will add some of West Coast's and see how it goes.
And Tex said it's all going to be kept secret and we will find out when they play. I mean, Tex mumbled...

I'm 43 and I know one south supporter. One. This in itself is probably not unusual, but I have been living in Happy Valley which is in the South zone, for the past 11 years. How is this possible?
I live in Happy Valley as well, and I know 2 South supporters. Although one of them was a Port supporter for 20 years but unbelievably jumped off Port and to South (and the Crows) in 1990.

He's taken up Rowe's crusade against any criticism of Adelaide Oval, which I suppose you have to expect from a SACA lackey, but gets especially snippy when Wildy pulls his leg about his privileged status - no sense of humour at all, complete figjam.
Carn, Wildy was asking people to ring up and go full south Aussie and complain about AO. They fielded complaints like the suns in my eyes (it's the ******* sun), there's no atmosphere where I sit (#gocrows) and I can't park next to the oval (walk).

And as far as Flip being in a position of privilege at the sacca he deserves it he's a test cricketer and a state cricketing legend. He's far from a figjam, genuine nice guy and not in a Lou Codge way.

At Footy Park the sun in your eyes was much worse than at AO and after my first year I changed my seat. The sun is in my eyes at AO but not sufficiently to complain about. A pair of sunglasses and a baseball cap reduce the glare sufficiently.

When the Crows are 0-8 next year, they'll be complaining about a lot more than the sun......

Andy "Controversial" Capp on Chad's new contract;

PORT Adelaide excitement machine Chad Wingard has ended the long-running saga about his contract extension by inking a new deal which will keep him at Alberton until the end of 2019. ...
Long running saga? o_O

He is not out of contract until the end of next season and after what was most likely a very normal contract negotiation signed a new deal almost a year early.

Based on the dutch ones' attention span anything longer than a week is a long-running saga.

Saw the "long running saga" line - genuinely laughed out loud.
It has been amended following 'feedback' on The Advertiser's website:
PORT Adelaide excitement machine Chad Wingard has ended speculation about his future by inking a new deal which will keep him at Alberton until the end of 2019.

Port aren't the underdog. Loser talk. The last 10 years have tested us, but we are on our way back to being the Big Dog. Our rightful position.
Yep we have broken the chains of slavery and fully embraced Malcolm's call to be innovative, agile, creative and to embrace that disruption is our friend, if we are agile and smart enough to take advantage of it!

Would that be Malcolm X or Malcolm T ? :)

"what doesn't kill you makes you stronger"
that's the best thing i've read in relation to 119 - obviously that was the first thing i thought of. so i went back to see the last team who got flogged in a GF to see if "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" worked for them - it was the Hawks destroying Melbourne - definitely killed something in them off :D :D

Graham cant write a news story about positive things happening at Port without putting in cheap snipes all through his article
For example
The march from Rundle Mall, if you ignore the odd feral component
displays the history of the club and tries to link the heritage of Port Magpies and Port Power. The perfect Christmas present for a devoted, if gullible, fan.
mass singing of that INXS song that has been spoiled forever for those who are not believers in the “true Port Adelaide tradition”.
