Yes I do, carried a groin for most of the year which has been operated on in the off season, still managed 9 Brownlow votes in what was an ordinary season by Scott's standards.
You seem to have a problem understanding how once age has slowed a player down they don't suddenly get that back. We aren't going to claim Port are immune. Cassisi clearly has been getting slower for us the last couple of years (never a speedster to begin with admittedly). Admitting Thompson is no longer going to be the dominant player he was doesn't invalidate how good he has been for the Crows in the past. That was the past though. He'll only be that much slower again this year.

Do you believe Travis Boak will back up his break out, stellar 2013 season in which he scored 13 Brownlow votes??
Boak isn't 30 or near it. He's at the age where another full Burgess pre-season is only going to make him a better player. Why the attempt to conflate two totally different situations? o_O

He's 31 in a couple of weeks, slowing down, rising mistakes, losing conditioning for a midfield role and he wont suddenly improve now.

No, Scott Thompson is heading for the garbage pile

All-Australian Travis Boak ... 25 year old in the prime of his career ... ****, you must be stupid to rely on umpires votes as the arbiter of player quality.

Feel free to keep basing a players worth on how many votes they get. Shane Woewodin won a brownlow, brother.

Go back and watch the last quarter of the round 19 showdown. There you'll see Travis Boak rack up 13 touches (6 clearances) to win the game for his side while Patrick mostly struts around the forward line pointing fingers at teammates. One of these players got Brownlow votes and one didn't.
Face it, some players just make themselves more visible than others.

apparently Sando gave David Noble a wink at the 5 minute mark of the game … how smug is that guy? Does he never learn?? I'm thinking Betts just played his best game for his career at the Cows now back to inconsistent.
The coaching panel then circle jerked thinking about the amazing 2-3 years of solid footy he has left in him & how they're hopeful of pinching a flag before the number of golden oldies in their best 22 retire.

If any footy supporter that watched both Port & Crows games thought that Boak didn't have as good or better season than Dangerhype last season they're as blind/biased as the maggots who have fan favourites names rubber stamped for 3 vote games.

Even when we dominated we couldn't get a brownlow.. it's hard to win due to the fact if you are in a shit team generally you can't get the 3 votes unless you play absolutely outstanding ala Ablett each week and if you are in a winning team like Geelong then the votes get spread even if you are a standout everyone looks good because you are winning well each week. Then you have players who the umpires notice like Dangerfield. If the guy can get 3 votes when his team mate has kicked 10 goals and nearly win when his team went piss poor during the season then he's going to win a brownlow one of these years. Does it mean much? Nah, I'd put the MVP award infront of it these days, usually right on the money.

Your judging a players performance on Brownlow votes? Your kidding right..?

lets take a look at 2004 for example;

WARREN TREDREA..
  • Herald Sun Player of the Year Award: 2004
  • 3AW Player of the Year Award: 2004
  • The Advertiser Player of the Year: Award 2004
  • Triple M Player of the Year Award: 2004
  • The Age Player of the Year Award: 2004
  • All Australian vice captain: 2004
  • B&F winner - John Cahill medal: 2004
  • AFL Coaches' Association Most Valuable Player award: 2004
  • Showdown medal: 2004
Tredrea was the pre-count favourite for the Brownlow Medal, only to poll a disappointing 15 votes behind the eventual winner, Chris Judd who admitted in his acceptance speech "I thought Warren Tredrea was a shoo-in to be honest".

Yep... Brownlow votes mean a lot..

Can we start a list on how many cheep shots S Rowe can take out our club this year.

In one week he has had a dig for us paying less for our licence , for kochie commenting on J King, getting to much media coverage and to many article's written about port by Michelangelo .

Even smart cow follower's know S Thompson is extremely overrated.

He burns the ball and is the free kick king for 2013.

I bet Rowe was not getting this upset when Steven trigg said that port Adelaide was damaging the AFL brand back in 2012

Who the hell would actually want Trigg though...
He hasn't exactly been a shining beacon of brilliance at the Camry's...

I dont get why Port agree to have players or coaches do interviews with him.
He bags the team and the club out every day.

Most of it is just shit he has made up.

He seems to be trying to come up with a negative port story everyday almost like he wants to unsettle us before the season starts.
If anyone associated with the Port Adelaide Football Club, including supporters, gives any credit to anything that comes out of the mouth of that mental pygmy then they obviously went to school for the bus ride and not the learning that was on offer when they got there.

You're crediting Stupid with intelligence he hasn't got. He is an official part of the Cows propaganda machine and as the team only for South Australians they see Port as their major threat so talk down Port at every opportunity.
