Your judging a players performance on Brownlow votes? Your kidding right..?
lets take a look at 2004 for example;
WARREN TREDREA..
- Herald Sun Player of the Year Award: 2004
- 3AW Player of the Year Award: 2004
- The Advertiser Player of the Year: Award 2004
- Triple M Player of the Year Award: 2004
- The Age Player of the Year Award: 2004
- All Australian vice captain: 2004
- B&F winner - John Cahill medal: 2004
- AFL Coaches' Association Most Valuable Player award: 2004
Tredrea was the pre-count favourite for the Brownlow Medal, only to poll a disappointing 15 votes behind the eventual winner, Chris Judd who admitted in his acceptance speech "I thought Warren Tredrea was a shoo-in to be honest".
Yep... Brownlow votes mean a lot..
