so what "advantages" did Port get over the crows apart from playing our home games at home (you know, because unlike the Crows we have a home)?
Heres our "non-afl" listed players and SANFL games before this season
Anthony Biemans - 0 SANFL games
Angus Bruggeman - 0 SANFL games
Danny Butcher - 10 SANFL games
Sam Gordon - 0 SANFL games
Ben Haren - 0 SANFL games
Zac Hawkins - 0 SANFL games
Jake Johansen - 15 SANFL games
Nathan Krakouer - 3 SANFL games (a few shit AFL ones too)
Aseri Raikiwasa - 33 SANFL games (0 this season)
Ben Sawford - 0 SANFL games
Louis Sharrad - 0 SANFL games
Henry Slattery - 8 SANFL games (ex AFL)
Steve Summerton - 137 SANFL games (nominated captain)
Matt Venter - 0 SANFL games
Robbie Young - 4 SANFL games
So our main contributors this season from this bunch are Biemans, Bruggeman, Haren and Summo who have played all 7 games. Take our our nominated captain and those 3 have never played SANFL before, with Slattery and Robbie Young playing 5 games...
So really only Summerton and Slattery are the only experienced guys we have, and they have Callinan
The plain and simple part is our AFL listed players are performing really well at the moment and we have minimal injuries. Our 'top ups' are mostly inexperienced kids with quite a few SANFL (or equivalent) novices. Once we inevitably cop some injuries and our depth is tested, we will have to play more "top ups" and things wont be quite so easy.
Dont forget Port beat Adelaide comfortably even though the crows had 3 more AFL listed players playing that day
This so called "advantage" is bullshit concocted up because we are playing well and winning games, and they hate Port.. nothing more nothing less
