Unfortunately a work colleague had the sports show on yesterday afternoon. On numerous occasions Rowe kept going on about this weekends game being "Unlosable" for Port. "Ohh they could not lose this game" I don't really see how he has come to this conclusion? By all means Hawthorn has injury concerns, but there the reigning premiers and currently sitting 2nd on the ladder so they are not exactly at rock bottom. They will also be playing 14 or so premiership players wont they? Especially with Hodge and possibly Sewell back. He makes it sound like it is an AFL team playing Flinders Uni.
Compare that to the build up to the Crows game against Collingwood and he was sprouting rubbish playing down any hope the Crows might have. "It would be a miracle for the Crows to win this game" I actually tipped the Crows as I thought they were getting Collingwood at a good time. The Crows were playing for their season and I thought Collingwood might be a little flat. Walker coming back was going to give them a boost and I thought Collingwood missing Brown and Reid could be stretched. I thought Fasolo missing was a blow as he had been giving them a lot of drive out of the back half and takes the pressure off Harry to be the creative outlet. So for me the win was no huge surprise, but Rowe then carried on like it was possibly the best win in the history of world sport.
