back on topic.. and its a serious question...

do MMM actually have any Port players on as guests on their sports show? Every week they have Tex Walker and Sam Jacobs on different nights but im yet to hear any Port players on at all

MMM used to be ok with Roo and Ditts but its now pretty much 5AA mk2 now and Jars is pretty much a bald Rowe
That is why their ratings crashed in drive time. Took over the number one spot, with Ditts, changed the line up, went full Crows. They seemed to know only one sport, AFL and there was only one team in the competition, Crows. Ratings fell. I hear they are a bit bettr now days, but I won't listen to drive time sports shows any more (at least SA ones).

I dropped my tea mug with the Port Power logo the other day (during - not before our recent bad run I hasten to add) and broke the handle into four pieces. I haven't mended it yet.

Yep as someone said earlier instead of cracking down on Talia who's one of the best at bending the rules with his defensive tactics they'll go over the top in trying to gift Cloke more frees than he probably deserves.

Would be nice if the AFL came out & said 'he deserved more frees' for Tredders back in the day & now Schulz who should be leading the coleman medal by more than he currently is but no a Collingwood forward has a cry & they all lap it up.

We'll just need to limit how much ball we let them get inside 50 & it will be a non issue, our backline plus Bobby should be more than capable of keeping Cloke, White, Reid & the umpires in check.

As they say "be careful what you wish for". Yes Cloke might be under the umps spotlight after having a whinge but the holding rule then will have to be paid consistently from both ends. So Shulzy might have a field day. With Bobby back he tends to play just off Cloke and does't need to hold jumpers etc as he has strength to compete with him, where as the Collingwood's back line might have problems with Schulz. Will be interesting to see.

How much does it suck that we have virtually already played the Crows in an elimination final and have been knocked out.
Keep the faith. The way we play this weekend will give us and indication as to where we end up in the top 8. I truly believe we have a better team than the crows and if have the ability and believe to start playing like we did in the first half of the season we won't even play the Crows in the elimination final. Maybe semi but that is more incentive to win the first final and have a week off :)

Why would it be applied consistently for the first time in living memory?
There was a pretty tough decision that went the Crows way and the commentators said as long it is consistent to both teams then I have no problem. Guess what, they were consistent. I can't remember the free but I was a bit shocked. Will see this weekend

I still have faith that we can turn it around too mate, my fingers are crossed we come out absolutely firing against the Pies. Top 4 still a chance, haven't given up yet. What really annoys me is the constant reference in the media to this potential showdown finals match up, and the crows fans are literally barring up at the thought of this game as if they are already a monty for the 8 and have us beaten already. Apparently we were the supporters who got ahead of ourselves this year when we spent most of the first half of the year on top of the ladder.

NUFC, YES.
Hope Schulz gets the same frees Cloke will this week!
Which should've been Hinkley's retort if it wasn't already.

'All big forwards probably don't get as many frees as they should. If they're there, pay them. I think we'd all agree with that.', etc etc.

I don't understand the BigFooty obsession with not using the term "Port Power". Is the aversion due to it being some kind of Bay 13 sledge here? Because as far as I'm aware large numbers of Port Adelaide supporters use the term regularly with no hangups about it and I'd never heard of it being an issue before coming here.
Get it right.

It's Port pear and I like it.

So how do we feel about Chad's latest comments?
Spoke of how he hated PAFC growing up and found it ironic he ended up there but then goes on to say PAFC (power) isn't the same club.

Of course he would, he's Graham's son. Chad will probably spend more time in the outer at Glenelg Oval when he returns home than at anything Port related. That's fine.
