View attachment 124039 Just putting this here to remember later in the year. F'en Sunday Mail campaigners
You could be forgiven for thinking it was the end of the year, 2012, with a genuine gap between the sides. Two rounds! Two!

Port is Melbourne tier again and our boys are on a hot premiership charge. Never right off the Crows!!!1

Balance.

Not sure if I fully understood the fitness bit mentioned in the cowvertiser . Sure they ran Collingwood off their feet and were 56 points up at 3/4 time. But apart from Collingwood being absolute s***(at least the 30 minutes I saw they were), the cows only won by 27 in the end. You can talk that away in the pre-season but not in the season proper, especially when it's against a team that's going to be lucky to challenge for the finals.

Yes, he did. He was specifically asked the question "Do you have any desire or intention to ever be a senior coach". Walsh's answer was a firm, resounding "No".
The more I see him in the media the more obvious his script is becoming.
An interesting thing though was him going off at a particular player during the Collingwood game. They showed the footage but you couldnt see who it was. If thats how he reacts when they're winning I'd hate to see him when things aren't going well.
He loves to bring up how Crows are the 'fittest team he's worked with' If that's not a dig below the belt at Port i don't know what is.

Talking Footy getting interrupted by live coverage of the earliest stages of 9/11 is still the clubhouse leader.

Probably.

Especially up here when it was on half hour delay. Got to see it "live" twice half hour apart. Once when I flicked over to CNN or whatever pay TV news station it was I'd flicked over to, and the same footage "live" again half hour later on FTA.

Current media analysis: Western Bulldogs, Adelaide, St kilda & GWS are fantastic and in for big seasons. Port Adelaide, geelong, Richmond and Gold Coast are rubbish and it's back to the drawing board for them.

Whilst i'm starting to get a little concerned about Port given our next 3 weeks are tough but it's only 2 weeks in to the season and the media are already writing sides off and pumping sides up. It's ridiculous. pretty sure the siants were on fire this time last year and the swans were in dire straits.

No - he's just copying Ken. By constantly saying in the media how fit they are, he hopes the players will believe it.

They're running like supermen now but they will hit the wall at some stage. You simply can't put the required amount of kilometres into the legs of a team in just one relatively hard pre-season. As piss easy as their fixture is there will come a point where Adelaide start dropping games to teams they're expected to easily account for.

You don't have to be the best side all year - just the best side in September. If we can get it all together at the business end of the year, we can still make life tough for a lot of teams.

Cant…Wait…for… this.

I know that makes me sound mean spirited but FFS what we have to put up with "mind the gap"
