I just wish Fox Footy would give us the option of no commentary, just crowd noise. They could call it "Press red for no dickheads".

Seriously though, the so called commentators should listen to the V8 Supercar commentators to see how it should be done. Scaife, Ingall and the rest of the team are as unbiased as you could hope for and if you didn't know their histories you would have no clue as to who they drove for.
As a general rule of thumb top level racing drivers are smarter than so so footballers. The best commentators are either former coaches who share many allegiances or professional broadcasters who never played at the top level. The only reason they get former Collingwood, Richmond and Essendon people commentating is to get their spud fans engaged. Why the hell is Wayne Carey commentating, he is a deplorable human being, and you notice Dennis never sits next to him or compliments him, looking disinterested when he speaks. All hail Dennis Commetti.

while finishing the interview he said to Ken "THE WHOLE STATE IS BEHIND YOU"... I nearly fell off my chair and knocked myself out, I mean what planet is he living on. LOL's.

Ergh, what is it with Crows supporters and the inability to get past the fact it's not a state vs state comp. West Coast supporters are the same as well

You have to be behind someone to stick the knife in the back.

And just before they started talking to Mick Malthouse, Dumb and Dumber read out some of the replies to Rowey's comment from Crows fans. The consensus seemed to be that 70-80% of people in this state were loving Port's demise: which I thought was a bit laughable. Thing is that, like the Fruit Tingles, we've now got more than 60000 members. The so called team for all South Australians no longer enjoys as much support as many people would like everybody to believe!!!

Like most sane people, I can't stand that flog Damien Barrett. Whenever he is doing something that enrages me however, I keep thinking back to the middle of 2011, when, while every other "journo" in the AFL media was all like "what's going on down at Port Power???" without actually getting of their arse to find out, Barrett and the footy show came to Alberton to do some reporting, and got Primus some airtime on the footy show to talk for us and present a case that never should have had to have been presented in the first place.

For that, he'll always have the most tiny inkling of respect from me, but gee whiz, he's really pushing it. His interview of Goddard on footy classified the other night, you could see the pure contempt on Goddard's face, and well deserved it was.

This is great. Ammunition for us when we look at attendances this year. Then 70% of the state should have AO packed to the hilt each Crows game, strangely that is not happening.

While I got nothing against Renault vehicles(at least they aren't bloody Volvos or Fords), Renault isn't even one of the biggest manufacturers.
If we want big sponsors with big dollars, why not look at Chevron or Exxon, both of whom are conducting oil exploration off our coast in the Great Australian Bite? They also happen to be some of the biggest corporations in the world.

Just so we get it right Renault is the 10/11th largest manufacturer of automobiles in the world IF you include Nissan (Renault has the controlling share around 45%) then they are the 4th largest.

Number 1 Toyota, 2 is VW,3 Daimler.

I think this makes them a very significant manufacturer no, not the largest but still a very significant manufacturer, and speaking of Daimler Renault supply the A and B class Mercedes engines.

So there

If the Fruit Tingles happen to lose to Brisbane on Saturday, the crowd figure for the home game against Geelong will be VERY interesting.

Isn't it convenient they're pumping up the Geelong game even though it's still over a week away, this would never happen with a Port Adelaide home game.
They should be pumping up our Thursday night game against Collingwood at the same time. But we all know they don't know the meaning about #balance in this state.

Mate - as I've said previously, Port could win the grand final, and the Crowvertiser headline on page 16 would read, "LOCAL TEAM HAS LUCKY WIN." :)

NUFC, YES.
The mid-year report: Adelaide to GWS, on AFL.com.au

Every club that has played us and won - best win is listed as being against Port.

Sigh.
Which would be true if we were any good.

In the bulk of our losses our opponent hasn't played particularly well, we've merely been so poor the other team couldn't help but win.

- Brisbane (32% scoring accuracy despite 14 marks inside 50, 65 points total)
- Carlton (24-10 carn)
- Richmond (Wingard & Schulz miss from the square, 43 points total)
- Geelong (record OOF's)
- WCE (38% i50 score conversion/-13 clanger diff)

Only Sydney and Freo could be considered to have categorically outplayed us when we were playing football of any calibre.

Yep.

Even then Sydney's a stretch. We didn't show up to play.

It's very interesting that people still seem to expect us to turn it around at any moment. We haven't shown a thing this year.

Of course, the silver lining is that we're going in pretty strong favourites to every match we lose and my emotional hedge betting is going bananas.

Not footy related but multiculturalism discussion on 5AA with the intellectual powerhouse that is Ali Clarke. A guy rings in referencing a book that predicted some of the negative issues society would face regarding multiculturalism and she hits him with " dont you love being able to enjoy a bowl of pasta?"
I kid you not.

.. but then again it is 5aa, so I'm hardly surprised. She'd probably get a pay rise for saying that.
