lol ... even if we paid the SANFL an extra $400K p.a. there's no way $50K per club would be the financial salvation to their unsustainable business model. It would just be blown on recruiting some ex-AFL hack or funding an electronic scoreboard. We would be pissing away that money for no benefit. The move to AO coupled with both AFL clubs owning their own licenses has exposed the moribund, decrepit state of the SANFL as a third-rate sporting league suffering from delusions of grandeur. They need to face reality and adjust, not beg for the next hit of cash to try to sell something nobody wants.

It would be interesting to see the crap that KG and Cornesy would say with this ... "how the SANFL Commission & crows are costing SANFL clubs thousands of dollars" ....
Currently all crow members can get into crow SANFL matches for free (because the SANFL want the crows SANFL team to have a good membership base and they are hoping that those crow supporters who support other SANFL teams leave their SANFL team who they would love and go to the crow) and this is costing the SANFL team money ...
for example using norwood crow supporters (as an example) these norwood crow supporters get into the crows v norwood game for free ..
So if their is 1000 crow members who like norwood in the SANFL and want to see them then they can use their crows membership and it would cost norwood up to $15,000 for a game (and if the crows play norwood twice then that is $30,000)
these SANFL clubs directors want us to pay $400, 000 like the crows as this will give the 8 clubs about $50,000 ... but instead of trying to get money out of us they should start charging crow supporters entry fee to get into the SANFL games

I continue to be thankful for the Port Adelaide visionaries who realised in 1990 that the SANFL was already dead. No amount of sledging about 119, tarps etc. will detract from the fact that we avoided a slide into irrelevance and will be around in our own right for another 100 plus years. If Glenelg, Norwood, or West Adelaide had the vision, ability and balls to do that Cornes, Rowe, and Cunningham would be singing another tune.
