Methuselah Cornes said Adelaide should look at a trade for Hamish Hartlett but only if it involves a second or third round pick and salary sharing. This really is the extent of their thinking as an ambassadorial group.

They really should be thinking about the extent of their midfield depth ...

This is the genius who thought Adelaide paid overs for Scott Thompson, despite the Dees bleeding out their asses at losing him and Chocolate belatedly coming in with what actually turned out to be the superior deal.

Do people who comment on news stories have any idea at all of what they are talking about or do they just think that if they have put it on the internet that makes it true. I was just reading a story about Hartlett and one of the comments was that his 5-year contract was worth $4 million. Of course, it could be just that the writer was unable to work out what that is annually.

In this morning's Monopoly Times the genius who organises things has Rory Sloane listed among the favourites for the Brownlow albeit with an asterisk.

The fact that Sloane is ineligible because of a dog act doesn't seem to concerned anyone at Monopoly Mansions. Putting an ineligible player on the Brownlow favourites board is like putting a scratching on the tote board for the Melbourne Cup! Pure Crowker tokenism.

In a way I hope Sloane polls the most votes just so we can hear that Crowie guy crying for a week on 5AA. What a hoot.

i would not mind backing the field against Dangerfield as the times I have seen him he has had plenty of it but not done that much damage.

Dangerfield is the unbackable favourite. Last time Ch 7 discussed the potential winners, they didn't even put him in the list because it's too obvious.

Penberthy's loyalty to Sturt tells us so much about what he and others like him will never admit to. That they would choose to support their old SANFL club in a competition their beloved crows also field a team in speaks volumes for the actual contempt with which they hold the crows deep down. They wish, on the national stage, they too could support the club their family has supported for generations, but instead have been thrust into an arranged marriage with 8 other clubs and told "here, this is yours. Support it because it's all you have". They're bound together by their hatred of us and nothing more, and a hatred borne out of envy, an envy you will never hear them openly admit to. But this is just one of those moments when they don't need to spell it out because it's there for all to see.

It's for people like Penberthy, Sturt/Crows supporters, that I was hoping the Crows would eliminate Sturt from the finals. They are so conflicted.
