Content is identical...shit. Karl Langdon...below average footballer..below average journalist/hack. Only value The West has is wrapping up your fish and chips.I hope anyone that works at The West/Sunday Times is ok today. Apparently it was panic stations as they had a big article mocking our women's team all done up ready to publish yesterday with the headline "Record Crowd Witnesses Fremantle Embarrass Themselves"... But then our girls went and won, throwing a complete curveball to their plans.
Luckily Karl was around to save the day by satisfying their Chardonnay sipping readership with an article about how bad our men's team is.
I can't believe the only article I can find online from either of those pathetic publications is one about how the injuries ruined the current AFLW round. They truly are a bunch of bottom feeders. Why do some still pay money to read their crap... Does it work out cheaper than toilet paper or something?
To be fair, I thought Karl's article (from memory) was pretty accurate of where we sit and reasonable expectations. I just found his expectations/potential of our younger players a bit lacking (seeing that is most of our team), but then I think the young Bin Chickens are average at best until/if they actually prove themselves whereas my Eagles mates are excited about their young "stars".Luckily Karl was around to save the day by satisfying their Chardonnay sipping readership with an article about how bad our men's team is.

OK, I'll bite. I've seen this term used a couple of time in the last day or two - where does it come from?

To be fair to karl ,His headline for The Eagles suggested he expected them to slide , So he didn't really gild the lilly with them either.Agree the article wasn't terrible. The title however was absolutely shithouse and stinks of negativity only a biased news publication could come up with (Karl Langdon - "Why the Dockers are still miles off the pace" ).
We all recognize they are in a rebuild so finals is only for the more optimistic fans. I also don't get the eagles fans super optimism with their recent draftees including the ones from the drafts before who really haven't shown anything at all at AFL level. Why doesn't Karl write an artlcle about that (Karl-Langdon - "Why all the Eagles optimism-Draftees haven't shown anything yet"...)?

Offered to play him at half back flank. What a shock! He’ll be a gun in that position. Looking forward to the Hughes v Crozier comparisons!

We now have a family academy targetting past players![]()
Thought Duffield was bang on - there is a little bit more in the video/audio than this article. He mentions Crowden as another in the mix that is showing a lot. And a short mention of Banfield, North and Duman all doing pretty well at AFLX. We don't really ask much as supporters - if we got some positive articles like this one more often we'd probably be a lot less critical of The West.Nice positive assessment of some of our draftees which makes a change

One good thing comes out of AFLX at least. There is no way Giro would have got a look in at JLT without this circus.
If you starve the masses and then throw them a scrap, they’ll love you for it!Thought Duffield was bang on - there is a little bit more in the video/audio than this article. How can anyone take a guy who doesn't have North finishing in the bottom 4 seriously?
