FIRST PARA STARTS: Star West Coast midfielder Andrew Gaff says he is "very remorseful" and feels "sick" following a .....

SECOND PARA STARTS: Gaff was involved in an incident with Fremantle’s Andrew Brayshaw...

"Involved in an incident"

The impact on Brayshaw was not in the first PARA. The finals / brownlow impact on Gaff WAS!!!!!

"Gaff feels sick" was mentioned 4 times times in case we missed it the 1st 2nd and 3rd time.

Also "Gaff appeared to be crying" poor bloke.

Apparently Freo players will be charged by the MRP for making him cry.

Quality article. I now feel fully informed.

So David King will be on SEN in 15 minutes. Turns out he coached Andrew Gaff at high school.

No wonder he wanted to give him a way out and a cuddle afterwards. The media are a disgrace, he should have excused himself from that interview due to the conflict.

Listening to 720... ffs some delusional WC supporter just claimed Gaff was just trying to swing his arms to free space. How ****ing dumb are these campaigners?

Micale on 91.3fm running with the Brayshaw was blocking his run (and had a role on him to niggle him all day WTF) and should have been penalised prior to the hit.. insinuating that it would have prevented the action. Taking everything in me not to throw my radio out the window at work

All prefaced with "Im not condoning what Gaff did.. but... "

Think Duffield summed it up well in The West:
Thumbs Down (with a derby flavour)
Brain snap part one: Andrew Gaff. Remorseful, no doubt. Out of character no doubt. But the off the ball hit on Andrew Brayshaw sits as the ugliest on field incident of 2018 and should be punished accordingly. Have no idea what he was thinking if he was thinking at all.

Brain snap part two: The Eagles crowd. We have learned not to expect too much from crowds at big games but standing ovations for a bloke who has king hit an 18-year-old way off the ball look more than a little “off” when you look back at them in hindsight.

Brain snap part three: The Eagles team. The same applies to them. By all means protect your mate in the face of what were clearly some very angry Dockers but the last quarter mobbing of Gaff after his long goal just looks wrong in light of his actions and the consequences of his actions. Support of a teammate is great but this looked like a celebration of what Gaff had done.

Brain snap part four: The well-lubricated West Coast corporates adjacent to the press conference room started booing Fremantle coach Ross Lyon when he began his press conference and started talking about the Gaff incident. Memo to Optus Stadium: This is a working environment. Either control the crowd or get them out.

Pathetic.

Pathetic.

The corporate are a major problem in relation to acceptable behaviour.

At Subiaco, Anzac Day game with the one minute silence, all the punters stand, take off hats and stand quietly in respect. Behind us in the corporate area, there is a din of noise. They might have money, but they aint got any manners.

lol. Nisbett once again doing everything he can to get his boys off, even in the face of his own earlier comments. Doesn't matter if they put someone in hospital, develop a drug addiction, as long as they get WC a premiership. Who cares if their own or anothers life is ruined, if they're off in Bali crocheting as they can't handle anything else, in a grave from an overdose, wandering roofs in Canning Vale, just as long as he pushes his club to victory, assisted by the Perth media fan boys that just sweep it under the rug - Taking drugs, no worries we didn't see anything; crashed car drunk, let's let this guy have some space to recover; coward punch a player, he didn't mean to and can we have him back for finals please.

Hard to really clean out a club to improve culture when it's the same bloke at the top and the same Perth media fan boys acting like western suburbs parents trying to avoid their kids ever having to take responsibility for their actions.

Loved the Wikipedia entry for Nisbett today though. Very funny.

Gold.

Quoted for others:

"On the back of comments made on August 6th, 2018 in relation to an act of thuggery by a member of the West Coast Eagles, he is widely acknowledged to be a shocking hypocrite and rampaging flogbean. When questioned over a newspaper article in 2015 where he called for the deregistration of an amateur footballer who broke an opponents jaw in an off-the-ball incident eerily similar to the act of thuggery by a member of the West Coast Eagles - he responded that they were 'different' and the same action should not be applied to his player."
