Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?
He's that producer dude on the Duff & Quarters (& Skeet who I wish they would get rid of again) that always tries to interject stories about himself into the conversation. Fascinating. My question still hasn't been answered. Who the fu** is Josh Garlepp?
his name sounds like a weird Japanese oyster tbhMy question still hasn't been answered. Who the fu** is Josh Garlepp?
Wonder if he'll be tweeting a screenshot of this post..He's that producer dude on the Duff & Quarters (& Skeet who I wish they would get rid of again) that always tries to interject stories about himself into the conversation. Fascinating.

But our record on bringing back players from long term injuries is outstanding.....wait, what?Yeo must be damaged goods with that groin if WC are looking at trading him. Buyer beware
Yeah it is probably a little harsh.Wonder if he'll be tweeting a screenshot of this post..
Draft picks are the go but leaves us vulnerable again if we can't leave most of our best 22 out on the park...Hearing stuff I like in the Worst today including:
JLo:
“Two years ago we drafted Victorian players with our picks, (and) last year was largely based around WA players. We will continue to look at best available but clearly and ideally when you draft WA kids there is no go-home factor so we will continue to look at all that stuff,” he said.
“It doesn’t help any of our interstate players not being able to get their families over to Perth or being able to go and see their families without doing two weeks’ quarantine. The last couple of years have been really tough for our interstate families and interstate players.”
Bell:
“It’s still disappointing to lose players but the primary result is we continue to build a program where they can be the best they can be. If players decide they do want to leave, it’s incumbent on the club to get the best result for Fremantle as we saw with the Brad Hill situation, where we saw the draft collateral turn into Caleb Serong and Michael Frederick who we think will both we good players for a very long time.”
Jon Ralph, Glenn McFarlane and Jay Clark
"Carlton’s Sam Petreveski-Seton has not drawn interest from Fremantle despite speculation so would be unlikely to be part of a Dockers package."
So I'm taking that:
- no SPS
- WA focus again likely in the draft
- Bell will push negotiations, and probably less interest in crabs from Carlton than picks (I'm probably reaching a bit more on this one)
I hear ya but I think there's no hiding from it. Losing Cerra has set the rebuild back. But filling holes with substandard (ability wise, mental state, or applicability) trade in players is something we have a lot of experience in and repeating the same mistakes would be folly. I would take a Serong and Freddie any day for a good mid that is exiting even if it further delays overall results. We seem to be good at drafting recently and we should stick we are good at.Draft picks are the go but leaves us vulnerable again if we can't leave most of our best 22 out on the park...
It's up to strength and conditioning and luck..
The under age state game is back on apparently according to the West but behind pay wall. Anybody have any details?
Yep, I'd rather miss out on finals next year but have an actual decent period of success than trying to top up now. We've lost three decent high profile players recently in Weller (High Profile Trade), Neale & Hill. The time we got burnt is when we used the currency to top up. You generally get more than they are worth so if spend wisely, it will improve your list long term.I hear ya but I think there's no hiding from it. Losing Cerra has set the rebuild back. I deadset just fast forward through skeet now, same rambling nothingness every episodeHey Josh Garlepp can you please get rid
of Mark ‘Skeet’ Readings from the pod. His football knowledge is worse than yours.

his ability to talk for a minute without really saying anything is frankly impressive. the point I stoped listening as regularly as I used to, was one week Duffield asked the others a question and readings just rambled for a minute and ended up asking the exact same question Duffield did.I deadset just fast forward through skeet now, same rambling nothingness every episode
Duff's usually good but that wasn't. It was so amazingly predictable because it was exactly how our form went all year. To have any other result would have been unlike the rest of the year.Duff was pretty good on freo though on yesterdays podcast. That last performance simply wasnt acceptable and leaves a sour taste for all freo fans in the summer.
Lost me at the ... get one of Amiss, Erasmus or Benning and then one of Williams, Van Rooyen and Cripps ...Haselby
I think Hase is spot on there.Haselby
