Richo with the self-awareness: "I'm not a Rhodes scholar".
I know Fox are significantly better than Seven, but Gerard Healy, Tony Shaw, Spud Frawley and Bung Dunstall are terrible

Still really like Brereton 90% of the time.
Clearly rates himself, but he's worth listening to when he's not emotionally involved too much (some of his light hearted remarks at our expense are amusing).

Dermot says some interesting things, but sometimes goes too far into detail - I sometimes wonder if he is trying to make himself sound smarter..
Yes, yes he is.
But... but what you're describing sounds like actual broadcast-quality commentary. That can't be allowed to continue, surely? How can one be expected to listen to a game without "Oh boy big boy wowee" happening every four seconds? Without hashtags and fantasy scores and betting odds and off-field gossip and miscellaneous trivia taking precedence over the actual game? Doesn't sound at all like football to me, sir.I mostly stream the ABC Grandstand commentary and it is almost always top quality. No one trying to become a personality with BTisms or whatever, just informative descriptions of what is happening and intelligent comments from whatever player they have in as a guest (for a deadset flog of a bloke Boomer Harvey is pretty good behind a mic).
Just don't ever get Dunstall annoyed. He'll swear and throw a bowl of rice over you.
He seems like more of a cross between an analyst and a therapist to me..I like him as an analyst after a game or during breaks haha
To be fair it was Stephen Quarterbrain and he probably deserved a kick in the silly as well.
I remember the exchange well. Quarters was asking his typically insinuative and leading questions and deserved to be pulled up on it.
But Dunstall acted like a buffoon. It was funny from Dunstall (kinda), and cringeworthy from both.
